hi everybody, this is a story i wrote for anybody who has lost hope in life, and even if you don't share the same religion, please don't shun me, i'm only trying to help those in need, cause i know how they feel...well i used to, but anywhom, just enjoy!



One day, there was a fifteen-year-old girl who lost all hope in the world. Her mother was an alcoholic, and her dad was in jail. Everybody at her school doesn’t care about her…except for one friend. She slit her wrists because she hated herself. She wished she were dead and so did everybody else.
One day, the fifteen year old went to her friend and declared, “I’ve had enough of life, nothing is right, nobody cares, when I get home, I’m going to kill myself” The friend was astonished, and felt bad, so she decided to help. “Please don’t do that, I care, and God does too, just wait, things will be all right” she pleaded. The fifteen-year-old huffed in anger, “ I lost faith in God a long time ago when he didn’t show himself” she replied.
Her best friend replied, “ Now, God doesn’t always show himself whenever you want him to, you have to be patient and have faith in him, and maybe he didn’t show because you didn’t have enough faith or patience” the friend calmly replied, her voice soft and friendly. She had a faint smile and a big feeling in her heart that made her want to really get through to her desperate friend.
The fifteen-year-old felt sorrow take over her heart. Her eyes were read and droopy from crying. Her head hurt, and she felt her heart heavy with grief. Depression had taken its toll in her sad little life. She replied, “Oh, so if I don’t have faith and patience, God won’t listen? He doesn’t even care because I’m not a good little Christian who praises him all the time” She tried to hold back the tears. The friend gave her a hug and replied, “You’ve got it all wrong. God loves everybody. Nobody is perfect, we are all born sinners, and he loves us just the way we are. But you do need some faith, because if you don’t, how is he suppose to know if you really and truly need him, or if you’re just going to use him like many people do? Just pray with faith, and everything will be alright.” The friend replied.
The fifteen-year-old took this entire in, but replied, “Fine, I’ll pray, but what makes you think he will care?” The friend patiently replied, “Of course he cares, That’s why he sent his only son Jesus Christ to the earth to die for us on the cross. Jesus didn’t really have to die and suffer for our sins, he could have just done his own thing and let us pay that price for our own sins, but he loves us so much, he was beat, wounded, and crushed for us to have the choice to come into heaven or not. That shows he cares. All those scars and bruises on Jesus, is what we should experience, but we don’t have to now” The friend was in tears, so was the fifteen-year-old.
The fifteen year old now felt unworthy, and horrible about herself for everything she’s done wrong. “I’m going home.” She said walking out the door. She stomped home planning to commit suicide when she got there, but at the same time she was thinking of all the things her friend told her about Jesus.
The girl finally got home, found a gun and went to her room. She decided to turn the radio of for background music, and of all the songs that could have been playing; the one that means the most, Amazing Grace was on. As she sat there listening to the lyrics, she began to understand that she doesn’t have to kill herself. God is alive and he wants me to live. That’s why he sent Jesus. The more she listened to the song, she began crying, thinking of her life, and all that her friend told her. At that moment, she got on her knees and for the first time since 6th grade, began to pray and felt the love of God come into her heart. She asked God back into her life and to forgive her for not believing. From that day on, she has always been a Christian and never felt bad again.
