sleep

for the last few weeks my sleep has become increasingly erratic and strange. Insomnia doesn't help, the amount or lack of sleep in the last couple or few weeks, stress and other factor come into play. such as caffiene and alcohol don't seem help much. any suggestions on my sleep problem. much need the advice thank you and God bless.

I know all to well what you are going thru. Some people try over the counter sleep aids like advil pm and unisom or benadryl. These have the opposite affect on some people. I've used a supplement called melatonin in a quick disolve form with some success others say that vallarian root helps. I do my best to get out and exert my energies on a daily basis this does seem to help. If you've already eliminated stimulants and have isolated stresses in your life you may need to try meditating and clearing your minds mechanisms before trying to fall asleep. Try burning some calming incense or scented candles. Make every effort to use your bedroom for sleeping purposes, have good supportive pillows and a comfortable matress and bedding. Try to avoid t.v. before bed, read a book. Last but not least there is the all mighty sweet leaf and many other types of sleeping pills that your general practicioner can perscribe you. Don't know if this helped or not best of luck.

I think absentwithin had the right idea with meditations, it allows you to sort out your thoughts before you go to bed making it a hell of alot easier to sleep.
