Who are we?
It never fails to amaze me how many people feel the need to offload their problems, albeit medical, social, financial or whatever, on the internet. Ok before anyone says "but yeah there are sites to help with these issues" I'm talking about peeps who use any and ever opportunity to sneak into a conversation the latest state of play with whatever their particular woe is! We all have, to a greater or lesser degree, issues that we have to deal with - that is the nature of life. I know that here in my journal I sneak in rather funny and disparaging comments about my wayward family members and my ever increasing battle between my wanting to behave like a kamikazi pilot and knees that are determined it's not going to happen. But what the hell I am not defined by my problems or issues, they are a very small part of who I am. A very insignificant part I may add. Why do people allow themselves to have no personality outside of their particular ailment or problem? Why do they allow it to define who they are? Maybe none of us can change what we're dealing with but we sure as hell can change the way we think about it!
