Well, finally got organised and we are taking the overnight bus up to Pamplona next Friday (15th) to start walking. I'm getting some important stuff together just now so I won't be caught in the "oh fuck I forgot ........ whatever" scenario. From what I've read and researched a lot of the time we won't be near any towns or villages so it's imperative that we're organised! As I write this my mind goes back to very early seventies when I just travelled around with no plans, no money and not a fucking care in the world. Oh how things change. We will still be sleeping "wherever we hang our hat" and eating wherever and whenever but that feeling of freedom and anarchy if you like has gone forever. I think a lot has got to do with people's attitudes these days, hitch hiking, sleeping in farmers barns, hanging around in town squares; these days these things are probably criminal offences! Anyway, I'm really looking forward to it! It truly will be change from what I've been doing in the last few years holiday wise. Trips to the carribean, wedding in Kenya, over to Morroco whenever it takes our fancy. Back to basics here I come!
