A month ago i discovered such a show as Justified. And while it took its time in finding its thing, eventually the series grew on me. It has become one of the best shows out there where i'm concerned and truly worth the acclaim it gets. it's one of the few shows that's actually unique. that's not something easy to do in the 21st century.
Olyphant's character is original, as far as fictional characters on the screen go, and real, not to mention hot, of course. So is his criminal counterpart Boyd Crowder who can pull off a spectrum of identities from a racist lunatic to religious nut to a savvy drug dealer to a lover. all the while retaining his intelligent and charming self.
However, one more area where this show surpasses all the other shows out there is boasting an actual female character. i have seen a lot of films, and none of them have that. any female roles any other major production has put out there are all pseudopersons. 1-dimensional blowup dolls with no real
identity or believability to them. Until Justified created Ava Crowder. she's actually smart. she actually has integrity to her, an actual personality. and this is coming from a misogynistic jerk. she doesn't look like an eye candy put out there to lure in more straight guys to watch the show. she's the only female character I actually like.
