Snake Hunting

    My name's tyler and I'm addicted to the national geographic Channel currently.
    phew! i'm glad i got that off my chest
    my friend and I are going to go snake hunting some time. So for our saftey could you give me some pointers and/or a web addresses that could help us in our quest. I live in west virginia. I told you this not to invoke sterotypes (I probly spelled that wrong i'm a stupid hillbilly)but to give you insight as to what type of area we'll be hunting in. thanks for any suggestions.

    What type of snakes are you looking for? Each snake has its own habitat. Please remember.... when turning over logs/rocks... turn them AWAY from you. Never open a rock towards you. If you do, the only direction the snake has to run is facing you... and you never can be quite sure what type of snake you might come across.
