becoming a piercer

    I'm considering one day becoming a piercer. Can someone please give me information on how someone goes about becoming a good piercer?...thanks!

    You need to find a reputable studio and ask about an apprenticeship.

    They'll put you on the right track. There are some ecent shops in ohio,actually. If they charge you for your apprenticeship,Its okay...That's standard in some shops. Sometimes you luck out,however, and actually get paid for your apprentice work.

    My friend went somewhere for a weekend and they gave him a certificate.

    you can get the certificates at most tat conventions

    if you hang out at the tat and peicing shop long enuff with the peircers someone will probly teach you for free........................

    I dont know how much a weekend course is going to teach you. That's like that whole "Get your diploma in 48 hours!" type of thing.

    ^^^ i agree - it's really not as easy as just pokin holes in people if you want to do it right. the certificates are just mostly ackowledging the fact that you went through sterilization and disease training.
