Yea I thnk thats as big as she is gong to get, thank god I dont ahve the same affinity for drums that I ave for cymbals on my kit or my set woud look like terry bozzios's Hey luvndrum? I want to put rivets in my wuhan china to make it a bit more crazy, but I want to find some nice looking ones, any suggestions?
Last count I made was 54 cymbals and 28 drums. Sick. I wonder how many roadies and techies he has touring with him. Man, I wouldn't drill that Wuhan just yet. Have you heard of The Rattler? Pro-mark makes it. Saw it on Carter Beauford's kit and picked one up. It has a sizzle sound very much like rivets, without the holes. Try that before you grab the drill.
Thats my Baby- Yamaha DX7 with Gray Mater, 1983 We play at the pub on Friday nights, and the Point Lounge on Saturday.Thats on Kauai Stevo file to large( can I fix it?)
Here's a good pic of Terry's kit...I think it's a pretty new picture, maybe's he's spent more money and has a bigger kit now, but yeah, I love all the chinas and crashes stacked. It barely resembles a drum kit anymore.
Yea I ahe seen te rattler, and made my own out of some ball chain, but it jsut doesnt have the same sound, and the wuhan is not a very versitle china, too short and trashy, awesome but not the best for every application. I would like to get some rivets, just three, in there to give it a bit more trashiness and some sustain. But I can only find industrial ones that i put in my ride, I once saw some pretty star shape ones on a ride that were perfect but I can not figure out how to find them.
I would go to a drum store and ask them about rivets. Chances are one of the people there will have used rivets and will know the deal on them. OR If you don't care about wear on the Wuhan (and if you're willing to drill holes in it, I'm guessing you aren't) and you have another cymbal you aren't using that would fit onto the Wuhan, you might try putting the two of them together ala Bozzio. I guess the second cymbal would have to be of light weight to be responsive, but I could be way wrong. Maybe a splash or a small crash? Even a broken cymbal or a "found object"? At any rate, you've tried something without altering a cymbal. You may want to sell that Wuhan later and will be much more successful if it isn't drilled. Have fun exploring!

This is electro-acoustic. It has piezoelectric pickup built into bridge. You can play it unplugged or plugged in the amplifier (I mostly play it plugged because I use some effects when playing, mostly chorus)
