Grey snot and drainage

For the past week my snot has been grey...Very gross i know. Is this a sign of a virus or something?

 

could be a bacterial or viral infection, or it could be something you are inhaling (ie, smoke, smog). Any other symptoms?

 

Shortness of breath, dizzyness, cough...

 

Typically if your mucus is any color, it is associated with a viral infection.
