I still can't believe it. He was in so many of my favorite movies.

    Hudson in aliens 1986
Dane (aka GOD) in Navy seals 1990
    Vince in Trespass 1992
    Chet in Weird Science 1985

I know, dude. I even like Twister. lol I don't know why so many people don't. He also just started the television version of Training Day, which could've been very successful.

Trespass was an amazing movie, btw. Aliens goes without saying. Great actor, imo.

Storm chasers pay Tribute to Bill Paxton..

I dug his little roles in films growing up. Like Commando. Just a snippet.. But such a cool guy. That gritty Texas accent always rememberable. RIP..

    so another actor dies.
    nothing wrong with acting
but why is it people make a big deal about it
more then say a writer, an engineer,
    or even a homeless person?
i guess its some kind of a human thing.
i'm not meaning to say anything against,
    i just don't get it.

actors play roles. its a craft more then an art.
the art is what writers do, and filmographers,
and even props and miniatures people.
what all of them do is more creative then what actors do.

so why is it that its actors that the bigger deal is made about?
i'm not saying its not a legitimate job, nor doubting that they earn their keep,
its just that it seems to me, that of all the contributions that go into visual story telling,
theirs is not the most but the least.

also i just found out about this a couple of days ago,
and it took me another day to figure out who in the hell he was.

to the best of my knowledge, none of the things he was in,
were any of the kinds of things that would interest me.
i could be mistaken about that,
he was in a couple of kind of big things,
but they weren't things that would have interested me as far as i know.

he was a human who died.
    ok there's that.
but i mean, humans do that, don't they?
(or we, i guess, since supposedly most of us on here walk around in human bodies)

Dude, we get it. You don't give a fuck that he died, because he was JUST a celebrity. Celebrities change people's lives for the better, all the time. They bring smiles to people's faces, make them forget about their problems for a while, start charity organizations, etc.. What have you done?

if you're asking that, no, you're not 'getting it' at all.
    celebrates change people's lives? bullshit.
only when we're dumb enough to elect them to public office,
and that's usually a very big mistake.

make people smile? yes that's a good thing,
but its the writers and filmographers that do that.

unless you're talking about live stage performance,
they're just very expensive props, for the real creative artists,
who's names almost no one ever hears.

The writers and directors wouldn't be shit without good actors.
And are you seriously saying philanthropic deeds and charity organizations set up by celebrities don't change people's lives in a positive way? Do some research on Paul Walker's charity foundation, for example. Do some research on all of the celebrities who took time out of their lives and even risked their lives to assist and save people during/after natural disasters.

I'm not talking about Trump's bitchass, btw. He's just a scam artist.

You've lost a few more marbles since I was here a few years ago, it seems.

There's no Trump convo here. themnax made one mention of celebrities being elected to public office(I don't even know if he was referring to Trump. He may have been referring to Arnold or even Ronal Reagan), and I pointed out that I wasn't referring to him or any other elected official. That was that.

I just love true lies i think it was the first film where i got it straight away as in terms of the twists in the story. like i could see her cheating and lying behind his back, and I followed it.

Plus how good is the "you're fired" line at the end with the sidewinder missile and Harrier JumpJet? :D

Ohh one of my fav, Arnie scenes. Austrias 2nd biggest celebrity, behind me. >.>
