I hope I can afford assisted living when I'm an old fart. The commercials make it look great: they bring you food, clean the house, nurses taking your BP, etc. All I'll have to do is sit around and complain.

 

If I worried about that right now,I would be unable to worry about all the other things I worry about

 

D'ya think mebe life could just be a statistical coincidence of convergent conditions we just happen to be experiencing for no apparent or meaningful purpose? If so then it kind of relativizes our mistakes and failures in the grand scheme of things. Kind of like standing on the bridge as you watch yourself floating down the river.

 

Only half right Ged. It is more like just a result of the universe we live in. There is carbon there is minerals there is rocks and there is gasses. So life will be there as a byproduct of those things.
Not a coincidence that there is life...maybe slightly so that there is human life that can examine it though.
