Of course, a flying bike. The Gossamer Albatross would surely hold him up and he has beaucoup fat reserves for the trip. Win-win!!

Some say the planet has already become one giant unfolding environmental disaster and without technology nothing can possibly save us from ourselves. There already exists solar methods for taking CO2 out of the air and making fuel and plastics from at about the same cost as buying oil. The US and other countries could take the lead on this and, in fact, its possible for hybrid cars to use solar power and a shoebox sized box to generate their own fuel. You could literally have auto-manufacturers producing cars next year that make their own fuel and can leave the air behind them cleaner than they found it.

Graphene supercapacitors are coming on the market within three years. Merely 30 seconds of charging a cellphone sized battery could provide it a week and half charge with the theoretical limit eventually somewhere around a month and half charge in 30 seconds. Cars built with them could travel over a thousand miles in the same time it now takes to fill up your tank and they can be built right into the panels of your car or added like wallpaper on top of anything. You can punch holes in them with only a loss in charge capacity and throwing them on the ground is like throwing leaves down because they are merely made of inert carbon. The perfect battery substitute for too many applications leaving the question what to make out of the CO2 already in the air with industrial applications looking more promising.

The real problem is people should have done this twenty or more years ago, but that just means we need to work all that much faster to make it happen as soon as possible. Part of the problem thus far with solar has been a lack of knowledge of the quantum mechanics involved which have turned out to include a wide variety of different quantum effects, but recently how more abundant green spectrum photosynthesis works was discovered and it should be downhill within ten years at most to becoming widely exploited on industrial scales. The remaining question is how soon and in what ways it is possible to implement the rapidly maturing technology as fast as possible on industrial scales to scrub as much crap out of the air as fast as possible.

Sometimes, you have to leverage what sells the most to deal with industrial scale pollution and create factories to clean up the messes of other factories.

The very fact Al Gore is cashing on a sequel to this is telling in itself. Obviously the first propaganda film hasn't convinced the world, no significant change in the climate has been recorded and humans are still polluting the world.

I wonder if it'll still be about CO2. Maybe he'll talk about other more serious forms of pollution that need to be addressed now, but obviously wont because the world is huge and there are 7 billion crazy humans everywhere consuming everything at an alarming rate and shitting everywhere.

Let's talk about that and corrupt governments waging wars and abusing the human rights of it's citizens.

No. CO2 is the devil and our entire climate and future is determined by a barely noticeable fraction of a change in atmospheric levels.

    First sentences in the article....

"When An Inconvenient Truth was released more than 10 years ago, the most criticized scene of Al Gore's climate change documentary was the flooding of downtown New York City from sea level rise and storm surge.
Well, as the former vice president explains in the first official clip of An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, that prediction came true."

Now please take a look at these pictures.

To be fair though, there has always been a risk of that happening. It's nothing to do with climate change.

They get hit with a hurricane once in a blue moon and Long Island gets flooded. What Gore was talking about was rising sea levels making it more common. Places like London and Holland are especially vulnerable.

Yeah they gossip a lot here on HF.

From what I hear half that city has been under water before global warming was a thing.

And yet a couple weeks back Venice experience a record low tide which exposed to everyone all the rubbish at the bottom of those waterways.

So the city that supposedly is one at most risk can't even organise its self to clean up all its shit, let alone make all its citizens do what's necessary to reduce its carbon footprint.

You call someplace paradise, kiss it goodbye. Money does all the talking worth listening to and, after trashing a place, they just relocate. So far, Antarctica has remained international property, but that could easily change with global warming and the demand for cooler climates increasing. Already they're starting to complain about all the tourists there.
