And it's definitely because of some unmeasurable change in temperature, but not that he and a dozen other bubs were hauling up to 10k lbs. a day out of the water for years, right?

Colder water supports more of the food the fish eat and moving north merely means the fishermen further north get to catch them.

To put this in perspective, in places like Alaska fishing boats can resemble floating factories that are only allowed to fish for two or three weeks out of the year because there would be no more fish left if they just let them catch all they want and just a few weeks a year is enough to justify having the fishing boat and crew. Using satellites and radar there is nowhere in the ocean for the fish to hide and the only real question is how fast they can find and catch them. Fishing is commonly a government subsidized industry because nobody actually owns the oceans and the last estimates I saw were that within twenty years commercial fishing will become all but history due to the number of wild fish being depleted to almost nothing.

In the US today, fish farming has become a 70 billion dollar a year industry precisely because the number of wild fish is dwindling.

    you are correct, it's not.
fishing wild stock is closely regulated to prevent depleting populations past the point of recovery, so no, it's not just because of over-fishing.

for anyone to deny that the global climate is changing and the mean temp of the Earth is rising is being willfully ignorant in the face of all the overwhelming evidence.
Let me ask you, what do you personally gain by holding onto the concept that it is false?

I don't gain a thing. I have personal experience with commercial fishing in that particular area, Montauk, Block Island Sound, North Atlantic, and about 30 years ago it became the norm to rape certain grounds as long as there was enough money in it to pay for the boat doing the raping. With regard to temp changes, no fish needs a zone so specific that a degrees or two in change of average will drive them to find better suited temps. It's far more about traditional spawning grounds and the breeding stock being wiped out.
