    Hey guys, I NEED ADVICE.

I am looking to invest in cheap land to start a homestead.

My intention is to be in an area viable for future growth into either a farm or intentional community. I want to spend $2000-5000 per acre. Obviously water source, spring fed or well system, are considerations. Solar is my plan for power.

I am currently looking at Colorado, Oregon, North Carolina, and Georgia. Each for it's own reason.

Please give advice and reasons for each state, county, region, etc.

    Thanks! One Love!

Colorado won't be cheap if there's water.
Have you invested partners? People with the ability to spend money?

There's always the Ozarks . How about 57 acres for 93,000$ . You get woods , cow pasture and a well - near
Thayer , Missouri . I've been in that area . Sometimes the ground can be very rocky , rather un-tillable .

Then , the Ozarks of south-eastern Oklahoma was just recognized as an Indian Reservation . That could be interesting .

I think it's important the local community should be interesting .

    Thayer , Missouri ? oh , I wouldn't recommend it to a hippy

You might want to try joining an existing IC if you want to go the IC route. It might save you a lot of trouble.

You might want to think about living outside the US, unless there's something that's keeping you here.

Montana has cheap land. There's not much out there though.
