What if I told you..
That there is no force?

What if I told you that it was all a movie?

Lol.

I would say that's ok to think. But I would tell you that even though he wasn't in the movies the Force intertwines with Odin.

Yeah, they took it down becsuse there was a huge backlash. I read a headline about there being a backlash, then I read the tribute...and i still havent figured out why some found offensive. So now i guess calling someone beautiful, smart, and funny is sexist. I dont understand
Anyways. I forgot all about Postcards from the Edge until today, I remember reading my big sister's copy when I was 13. I didnt know who she was then, just thought she was some washed up actress. I didnt watch star wars until a few years later.

Yeah postcards from the edge, i hated that film... i didn't know it was about her but all I kept thinking when I watched it was what a selfish self centred main character who is screwing up her entire family, I thought the Cinnabon thing was funny and cute... nothing wrong with what Steve Martin said either, maybe it would be ok to say she was ugly and a bitch?

When I was a young lad, first time I saw Star Wars phwoa Princess Leia she was well fit man. And as it transpired the actress who played Leia was also very intelligent and funny.

Filming for the next one apparently finished last summer, so Carrie Fisher will appear as Liea in VIII. As for the final installment of the nonology, speculations are thus forth explained in the following article, which may contain spoilers

http://www.independe...y-a7500156.html

I say just write her in as a hologram, like in the first one. Not sure how that would work since I haven't read the books.

I was thinking that they would just hologram her in or use clips they cut.... or they could just create a digital version of princess Leah that is so life like that Carrie fisher is nominated as best actress in a film she never participated in and wins.

You can be sure they do a tribute to her mom at the academy awards and probably throw her daughter in with her. Maybe lifetime achievement to her debbie Reynolds now that she is dead.

She might have something written in her will which prohibits film makers from using her image in certain ways. Noone apart from Disney and her lawyers know at this point.

possible but even if she cared I think it's unlikely.
From the interviews I have seen of her. She wouldn't care.

It seems that the loss of her daughter may have been too heavy a burden for Debbie Reynolds to bear.

The 84-year-old Hollywood icon died after suffering a stroke on Wednesday, just one day after her daughter, Carrie Fisher, was pronounced dead, following a heart attack.

But it’s her final words that show just how much the “Singin’ in the Rain” star loved and missed her daughter.

Todd Fisher, Reynolds’ son, told TMZ that he and Reynolds were planning Carrie Fisher’s funeral Wednesday morning when she began grieving and told him, "I miss her so much, I want to be with Carrie"

Fisher confirmed Reynolds’ last words to E! News saying, “She went to be with Carrie. In fact, those were the last words she spoke this morning"

After news broke of Carrie Fisher’s death on Tuesday, Reynolds thanked her daughter’s fans on Facebook for their thoughts and prayers.

/\/\   Yes it's often those left behind who have to deal with the practical side of organisation of ceremony, absorbing the emotional outpouring of/for others, and smiling through the tributes made for/of how fine a quality it was of those stars that no longer shine which are forgotten,

The loss of Sister and Mother in such a short/same time must have been/is devastating on a personal front - but in the traditional 'business' of 'show,' it is that which 'must go on'

One hopes that he will receive the strength of support at the moment in time, and understanding and respect in the days that follow

Umm. She never said she had a favourite.? Mother and daughter bonds are different from mom and sons.

What is the saying ..?

Bonds are indeed different

“A son is a son 'til he gets a wife, but a daughter is a daughter all her life. ”  is a phrase well true, although Parent/Child relationships can often be held together by persona = a bonding of un-calculated design but moreover emotional attachment which is particular individual pairing

They also did not speak for ten years. To repair that bond through talking and understanding they must have had with one another was huge. Mothers also most often put more energy into the one who is broken, trying to help them... so the loss of caring for that one who needed more than the other is hard to deal with as well.

“My lowest point in Carrie and my relationship was probably when we discovered that she was ill, or that she had this mental health problem, and that it was going to be with her forever,” Reynolds told Oprah Winfrey in a joint 2011 interview with her daughter.

“There have been a few times when I thought I was going to lose Carrie,” she added. “I’ve had to walk through a lot of my tears, but she’s worth it.”

May I interject here. We certainly do not know the dynamics of anything here.....and maybe Debbie would have died of a broken heart if Todd died instead of Carrie, also...Maybe Debbie knew Todd would be ok.
Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.

I know it would have killed my mom had either my brother or me died while she was alive.....

Bonds between parents and siblings differ, not because of gender so much, but because everyone is an individual.

I say her son must've felt slighted because I saw this very thing happen in my family after my brother died.

My mom was heard to say, in front of her 4 remaining children, that "He was my favorite!".

She proved her words true when she died from grieving his death.  It wasn't immediate like Debbie Reynolds.  It was long and pain staking to watch.

Mom didn't feel that her other 4 children and a dozen grandchildren were enough to live for.

I understand her grief, I really do, but not to that extent.

For Debbie Reynolds to tell her son that she wanted to be with dead Carrie more than she wanted to be with him, had to hurt him.

I am sorry. I did not hear Todd say..."I want to be with Carrie MORE THAN YOU...."...I did not hear the more than you part. Can you please provide the link?
