Why Do Humans All Want To Know The Orgin Of The Universe?

One thing all religions around the world have in common is an Origin Story. All religions have a story of how light, life, and the universe all began. All these tales have varying degrees of difference to them as to how it was all formed. But nonetheless, no organized religion would have never been successful without providing a possible answer to the question mankind has always wondered about.

Religion alone does not present a story of the origin of the world. Science and technology is also determined in finding the origins of the universe through experiments in astronomy, chemistry, biology, and physics. Institutions and organizations funnel billions of dollars to study this stuff.

Today, old scientific theories get outdated by new discoveries and breakthroughs. Religious institutions fight tooth and nail to say they are right and everyone else is wrong.


This all boils down to Why?

Why does humanity so eagerly want to know how existence came to exist? What do we accomplish by finding the answer?

 

An end to this existential dread, of course.

Some of us want to know who to blame.

 

humans are curious. we don't like not knowing stuff.

 

I'd say it's the not knowing stuff that we like. If you know everything then there's nothing else to find out. Like getting to the end of a film, you now know everything that's happened so there's nothing left about the film to enjoy. With the exception of 2001: A Sapce Oddysey of course, which can be watched as many times as you like and it's still good, but that's because no-one actually knows what the fuck it's about.

 

Its not knowing that we hate. For example, one African tribe believes a couple must have sex frequently when a woman becomes pregnant because that's how you feed the baby. My mother was a candy stripper who volunteered in hospitals and came a cross a pregnant girl who had no clue how she became pregnant. Sometimes, it really is better if you see the punch lines coming.

 

Because science is a government funded agenda and they use the existence of the universe as a propanganda tool.

You can see it quite clearly. Almost everyone that reads into science as a big part of their life, which is far too many people by the way, all believe what they're being told even though themselves are not intelligent enough nor do they have right teachings or understand as to even comprehend what they believe, they just believe it because it's been said in the name of science.

In turn, in thisnday and age when more people are turning to science over religion, it's a very easy propaganda tool to herd the sheep. Time and time again.

Even if they could explain the origins of the universe, do you really think it'd make your life any better? Of course not.

 

For me it's just damned interesting. Why is there something instead of nothing? Cosmology is fascinating and astronomy is my favorite hobby, so I clearly have different reasons for being interested than, say, religions do.

Early humans noticed cycles in nature: the changing seasons, birth and death, animal migrations and so forth. Asking how it all got started just seems like a natural question.

 

For those of us that are heavily influenced by the esoteric knowledge that our ancestors have provided us, for those of us who engage in it in daily routine, already understand and know the answers to these questions. They are ingrown in our bloodstream. They aren't even questions, rather, they're a way of life.

One must understand that forgotten knowledge of our ancestors is astounding in today's world, that they knew more about our cosmology than we do today and/or we are only discovering what we'd known all along. These ancients were very specific in their interpretations. The answers have been in front of us for so long, we look but we don't see. We've lost that about ourselves. We hear but we don't listen.

 

I think very similar to this. We all know within ourselves that we are one with the universe and this planet. It all depends on how much a person has invested in a social meme. If they play that game most of the time, they have little time to be in touch with their original nature. After one has devoted the time and energy to know ones self, this question of purpose in the universe does not exist. Only in echoes of our natural being.

 

The scale of the current Universe is so vast and mind-blowing that it's fascinating to ponder how it originated. It's difficult to speculate what would be accomplished by knowing the answer of the origin of the Universe... It probably depends on what the answer is.

 

It's one of those big questions that simply comes up when pondering our existence. It would be more intriguing if it was the other way around (to me). It's logical to wonder about this, and when we do, it is also logical to want to know the answer

 

There's a new effort to design and build a gravity wave detector that can see all the way back to almost the Big Bang itself. Ordinary optical and radio telescopes can't see that far because the quark-gluon plasma that emerged from the Big Bang is way too hot and too dense and lasted for at least a hundred thousand years. Photons and radio waves would just bounce around inside the plasma randomly for eons. Ironically, the Big Bang was neither an explosion nor big, but a tiny little thing smaller than an atom that just got inflated all out of proportion. Knowledge about it is expected to reveal quantum mechanical secrets applicable to the world of the ubber tiny.

For example, a simulation of the Mott Transition of a system from quantum mechanical to classical indicated that a sort of Goldilocks Principle rules the universe. This contradicts the predictions made, but they were all made using classical logic and mathematics which quantum mechanics are still formulated in. A similar recent study of the Mott Transition of a conductor to nonconductor established that long range forces are just as important as short range ones providing an explanation for things like superconductivity as reflecting the collective organization of the electrons and material. My own belief this simply demonstrates a recursion in the law of identity that makes everything resemble the Big Bang and the Big Crunch including, of course, the Big Bang and Big Crunch themselves which should resemble each other because existence itself is ultimately paradoxical. In other words, they'll eventually get total nonsense results from all their measurements.

Think of this thinking and existing in terms of a continuous self generating process rather than a separation from the universe. We're not here to observe, we are the observation. There is no purpose to existence other than to balance out the paradox of non existence. Words and thoughts are all part of the process of existing. Nothing exists as a fundamental thing. Nouns are brainwashing. All you can do is have fun, howl with wolves to quote Heisenberg. Get as high as you can while you are here, it won't bring you any closer to the answer than real science but it will be more fun
