I don't think any movie scared me as a child. I had other things going on that scared me in my life....but there was one scene...I think it was from Jason and the Argonauts or something like that...I don't even know...but it was a movie about a big giant that theyopened up a circular thing in his ankle and stuff came pouring out.....This was a movie they were playing at conventions my parents used to take me to year after year.....and they always played that movie year after year. I only remember that scene...but I think I was scared by that as gigantic, megalithic things seemed to scare me.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Candyman. I re-watched that movie recently and I approached it from the perspective of the main female character (Helen) being schizophrenic and it made me see the film in an entirely new light.

  6. I almost forgot the Twilight Zone movie. This is definitely the one that fucked me up the most as a kid.

100% agree with this - the only 2 films that ever scared me as a kid.

Of the 2, Freddy was the more scarey...........

I highly suggest you guys watch Candyman and face your fear! Both my husband and I did just that this year. I swear it is not as scary if you approach it thinking Helen is a schizophrenic and Candyman is all in her head.

It gives the movie a lot more depth when you approach it from this mind set. And it isn't even that unrealistic - Schizophrenia usually hits people when they are in their early 20's, which the main character is.
