New pics from the final leg of the Saturn Cassini mission. https://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/news/2975/cassini-beams-back-first-images-from-new-orbit/ Both Saturn and Jupiter have eyes, therefore planets are alive.
Ecosystems can be perceived as being alive. No ecosystem, no life, no living planet. Mars for example seems pretty dead. Mercurius also
There are some sogns of life on Mars I believe, and Mercury? I think I read recently there was speculation that it may in fact harbour life we have yet to detect.
Pandarve https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_(Don_Lawrence) If you dig scifi fantasy you owe it to yourself to check this series out!
Haha Mercury you mean? Yes, I typed too fast and used the dutch name. Proper spelling though If its about you spelling the word speculation right: I didn't mean that, I knew you could do it About some cellular life on Mars: it may be there but as long as it is not discovered it is indeed merely speculation
I think it's mostly an anthropomorphization to say planet's are alive. Although I did watch an episode of Through The Wormhole with Morgan Freeman where they analyze the question about the Earth, with some compelling assertions.
Sometimes I wonder if we are actually just a part of a larger organism. If we are tiny little bacteria living on an organ of a large being. or something.
Yeah, and these planets that we live on like bacteria are only the kidney stones.... I love talking about this stuff and speculating. Thank you for starting this thread, WD.
the basics of thermodynamics does make a planet alive....the circulation of magma is just gravity and pressure the livings things are on the planet but the planet itself is not living
A planet is not living?...but yet it produces and sustains life....right? I love rocks....I have a massive rock garden in my house in a corner...i call it my zen corner.....They are mainly large rocks I have found and gathered from many different places......I love holding them. looking at them, touching them...feeling their energy...They are cool to the touch....and when I hold or touch any rock, I feel very calm and reassured......so in a way they are alive to me....and maybe they really are in their own way. I also have this salt rock pyramid lamp I bought in Cape Cod this year....It glows orange...and is very calming, too. It supposedly transmits some kind of good for you energy ions when on....I believe that it does.... Animals here seem more relaxed when it is on...
Rocks really dont get enough credit. It is amazing to me to stand on a giant rock face and ponder how ancient it is.
