I am, look at how many churches are being turned into residential homes!
Look how many children's Sunday schools no longer exists, look how many people marry!

Religion is not followed like it was! It's not as important in people's lives as it was.. I say again but maybe alter it..a tad!

    Most Religion is disappearing!

Not really. Just among a certain kind of people and mainly in western society. Most religion, including christianity, is still going strong in most of the world.

In the netherlands it looks the same as you describe. Non religious people are increasing in the western world, that's true. But that doesn't mean religion is disappearing at all!

    edit: spelling

To be fair, Ghost: those are pretty much the most important locations of those religions. Even when it wou;dn't be thriving those places would still give another impression, as such locations always attract plenty of followers: certainly on the days when something big is happening. Like when the pope saying something :p Or when they all walk in circles around that big block.
Besides, that square in front of the Vatican is open for non religious people too. Lots of tourists. So to be clear, I'm not disagreeing with you. Just saying those pics aren't the best examples/signs. Even the age of those locations will ensure they will always hold meaning to people. I for one would not mind to visit either location and I'm not religious either.

You're arguing for the arguments sake. Those pictures do not show a bunch of tourists gawking at old stones. In fact, I'm pretty sure that non-muslims cannot even enter Mecca for example.

The argument was that "most religion is disappearing". While there may be some decline in western countries the rest of the world is still going strong. You can bet that most of Central and South America is at least 90% catholic. In India cows are still holy. All over the world people are killing each other because some of them are christians and some muslims.

You want more pictures? Just google. Like I did.

I did some crude calculations on Christianity, Islam and Hinduism. I put a figure at 30% people remain faithful to their relgion due to religious indoctrination (easily could be higher), despite any event(s) that might lead to large religious backlash.

Even with those figures, cumulatively there is still over 1.5 Billion people who retain religion. Of the smallest group Hinduism, there would still be 300 Million.

I did not argue that part. On the contrary even :p

religions, all religions, including christianity, 'invented' socialism.
(although it is also the natural impulse that made the rise to dominance of the human species possible, and was thus also, the pre-existing condition that drove, among other things, the invention of all religions, so there's kind of a chicken or the egg thing going on there too. and all that's entirely aside from the question of gods or god like beings who may or may not exist also)
environment makes possible the existence of our species. worship is in the eye of the beholder.
