Have You Learned Anything From A Member Here

Have you in any way gained benefit by being here?
Maybe a book someone read caught your eye, or you heard a song, or a movie that someone posted intrigued you?
Maybe you learned a thing or two about whatever country, or a word or two in a foreign language?
You know, whatever.

Just a random thought.

Maybe different people contributed to you being more open-minded or something. Or the opposite.
Maybe we learned from that Turkish guy that Turks are just like us, and that we can lose belly fat by running.

I've learned a lot from hip, some good some bad!

I've made friends, and I hope not too many enemies!
Such is life!

Music, opened my mind to lots of different types I would never have listened to.

Culture, there are a lot of great people on hip, who bring together what is hip!

 

I have learned a good amount about psychedelics... Which in turned has helped me learn about myself and others.

I've been turned on to some new music and also the philosophy section has been quite informative from time to time. I've gained some knowledge about computer programming from select individuals.

I also think I've gained a better understanding of cultural similarities and differences.

All of these things seem to be benefits to me, but I have nothing in which to gauge a comparison.

 

Gained lots of insights, so I would say yes. Some music, some books, used to me more interested in psychedelics and learned some stuff about it on here. But overall I gained the most insight from participating in the philosophy and religion subforum and random thoughts.

 

I have learned a whole lot from reading Pressed Rat's posts, which are always highly informative, sane, articulate, and full of realistic and sober views of politics and humanity in large.

Wait... what?

 

You can also learn from people while throgoughly disagreeing with their conclusions or how they word things. Frankly you would be a fool not to (if you're eager to learn that is)

 

This Might sound Odd But I have learned More about Myself and how I am , and how I should ( and want ) to be since I have Been coming on here !!

 

Lol yeah, I learned some stuff about myself as well. No, not odd!

everyone is a source of some information to everyone
also inspirations and ideas
most people need to be not taken too literally most of the time
we all have our agedas
yet each see something
from the amalgamation of diversity
a more cogent image may emerge

 

I literally wouldn't know where to begin

 

I have discovered new music and artists here, gained insights from other people's views on politics, religion, etc, had my views challenged and even occassionally (rarely, of course) proven wrong..jk on the rarely part, i guess. And i have learned about different cultures. HF is pretty cool.

 

I've learned not to take sex very seriously.

 

Idk maybe? This place has been pretty boring and uneventful for the last couple of years. I've learned how to kill sometime I suppose?

 

i learned that F5 refreshes the page.

 

Every day I learn how to forget!
