Naturism Means Also Barefooting?

Are naturists barefooters as well? I use to see many naturists walking with shoes... Why baring your body but not your feet?

 

i only feel really nude when I’m barefoot. But I don’t expect other nudists to feel the same. Fortunately, I can walk barefoot on gravel or hot ground without any problems. If others can’t do so, they should not be damned.

 

Completely agree with noodist_jen, I go barefoot whenever possible, tarmac roads are ok and gravel is usually ok, but wear flip-flops if I need to.

Weirdest thing for me is a selection of men at my nearest nude beach who wear sandals and an unbuttoned short sleeved shirt and nothing else, what's all that about?!

 

I have tender feet....it's uncomfortable going barefoot. When I'm nude around the house, I almost always where flip flops. I've never been to a nudist resort, but if I did - i definitely would wear something on my feet.

Often when I'm at home I wear nothing but a t-shirt. I guess i have been "shirt-cocking" for years lol.

 

Flip-flops are a necessity when walking across the baking hot sand in the southern half of France or in Spain!

 

To me, naturism or nudism is freedom to do what you like. I normally like to go barefoot, but, for practical reasons, end up wearing flip-flops. There are times when I want to go as light as possible and take absolutely everything off. But, the idea of nudism to me is throwing off the chains, not just changing one set for another, so I don't feel guilty if I want to wear something.

 

I guess first of all, there should be no rules. I can just tell what I prefer, but not what others should do. If one feels fine going naked but shoed and feels fimne this way, why not?

I prefer to go barefoot whenever possible. Not because i think this is the "right way", but because i do like it this way. This doesn't mean i would burn my feet on hot sand for example, hey, it's no shame to put on flipflops then. Or you better put on your hiking boots for crossing a scree slope in the mountains.

For me going barefoot makes nudity more "round" and integral, and it also means to me another level of sensuous quality. Maybe like this:
hiking clothed & shoed = 50 %
hiking clothed & barefoot = 75 %
hiking naked & shoed = 100 %
hiking naked & barefoot = 150 %
I hope you understand what i would like to explain. Going naked & barefoot just turn on your senses for way more perception than anything else.

I can't imagine being naked but not barefoot, whatever the terrain etc. But yeh, each to their own.

 

I agree with Charlie35. i always go barefoot when naked.
The natural and best way to walk barefoot outdoors is toes and sole down first then heel down. Provides gripping and stability. Opposite of walking with shoes which is heel first.

 

I am a tenderfoot and I do not like getting my feet dirty.

 

Here at home I never wear shoes. But at the nudist resort I only go barefoot around the pool. I'm a tenderfoot also and rocks and small pebbles bother me.

 

No, naturism/nudism is not the same as barefooting. Many naturist/nudist wear some foot wear to protect their feet from harm or for comfort. Wearing foot protection does not mean you are not a naturist/nudist. Just says you could have sensitive feet and do not wish to harm your feet. Just like putting on sunscreen/lotion or wearing a hat, you do it for comfort and/or protection.

 

For me part of what a naturist is is being barefoot. If I’m not barefoot I don’t feel in touch with the earth, that freedom or comfort.
The whole removing of textiles involves and shoes or socks I may have forced my feet into.
A tip for anyone who says they have soft soles, just go barefoot in the garden, then around parks and soon a woodland trail. Your soles will toughen in no time.

 

I use flip flops often when walking to the sea to swim naked. Stones can be painful to tread on.

 

I just think... having bare feet is a part of naturism. I don't understand why there are some naturists having their feet completely covered in sneakers or something like those shit. I understand if they have flip-flops or sandals when pavement is hot for their feet, but other times, for a naturist, any kind of footwear is totally ridiculous.

It's certainly a fine thing to be barefoot, in contact with the earth. But unless you're really used to it, walking around on some surfaces, even natural ones, may be uncomfortable and you can get injured. I do it sometimes, but mostly I wear shoes. In warm weather sandals are good enough, though.

 

If I'm nude then I'm barefoot also. Nude to me means being totally nude with nothing on from top to bottom. I enjoy nude barefoot hikes in the woods and it feels so natural.
