Consumerism Ruled?

    We were what we bought. Product mascots were held dear. Our minds were distracted, and we paid for it.

    Now, commercials are trying to be cynical to reflect our new found freedom. We're not buying it.

    No TV so I don't see commercials...


    Yeah there are brands that I buy repeatedly but because of past experience and quality. Not due to advertising.


    But... I'm far from the norm.

    Lucky you. I have a GF who is dependent on it. It was like pulling teeth to go from cable to antenna.

    i don't think it ever ruled, but i do remember people believing they had a right not to get screwed.
