So basically these "laws" can only be broken by men.

^ based on that definition, i think it's in the best interest of nottinghamshire men to just not speak to any women ever.

also, nottinghamshire sounds like one of those jokes where someone throws together a bunch of names to make one made-up name. "where are you from?" "oh, i'm from... umm... nottingham...shire...ville...town..."

So if a man from there tells a fatass feminazi to fuck off online, or even in person, that man will be punished regardless of said fatty deserving it? Sheesh, those popular youtubers who destroy feminist arguments in almost every video better start fearing the trigglypuffs of the world.

Works our for me, you mean? I'm not from around there so I don't think this will affect me. Language policing is really getting out of hand in other parts of the world.

No, not for you personally. For those there. As you seem to have an interest in it I hope you will follow how it goes and keep us informed. I agree it is unlikely people that aren't from Nottinghamshire and won't ever go there will be affected by it. Even if we would go there this law would probably have no effect on us (and probably neither on most Nottinghamshire citizens anyway but ok) :p

What are you thinking of when you say language policing is getting out of hand in other parts of the world?

Hopefully nobody will ever be prosecuted by this silly law. Not even the ones in the mosques. I don't really foresee any sensible woman taking the time to file a report for verbal slander. But there might be a few cases where it does happen. Plus, what is sexist to some, might not be sexist to others. Language policing is persecuting people who use "offensive speech" like microagressions such as the ones considered mysogynistic by the Nottinghamshire law.

And of which examples were you thinking when you said it is getting out of hand in other parts of the world?

Ever run into a tumblr-'tard or a SJW? They invented a term called microagression that they use to find offensive nature in everything someone says or does. If anyone is to take advantage of the Nottinghamshire law, it's these lunatics. While I don't believe language policing has ever gotten anyone in actual legal trouble as of yet, this new law definitely is just the beginning.

people can say really hateful things but when does it end when we start making speech illegal? I don't like listening to angry screaming feminists, but I will argue their right to be loud and annoying. please lets not pander to people who want to police everyone's language so some people never ever get offended....ever. that's life, ive had to listen to people call me really mean things since my childhood. Ive been called fat, ugly, slut, stupid and a multitude of other names but so what I learned to brush those things off. why cant people learn to toughten up so we can use our laws to make real changes in the world?

It would be one thing if these "anti-misogyny laws" were actually targeting and minimizing misogynistic behavior, but a lot of the things on that list don't even fit the definition of misogyny. Secondly, to say that these laws can only be violated by a certain group creates a greater divide between genders and is counter productive to feminism's supposed goal.

Anything to create more thought crimes...............yet when a Muslim gang in Rottingham kidnapped and groomed young women and girls last year, we're tlaking thousands of them, so as to force them into prostitution, the authoritieis didn't do shit about it, because they didn't want to appear racist. A man trying to open a woman up to get her phone number and because she don't like that particular man for whatever reason, amounts to mysgony, but apparently having had done something about actual crimes against women would have been racist, no wonder why western civilization is dying. Indigenous Brits wanting to take the initiative to potentially procreate is a crime, while protecting their women is a low priority. The west is suicidal in its lust for diversity.

It's pretty obvious that the word mysgony is overused and often means whatever feminists and their bootlickers dislike or are offended by. This new law reeks of misandry

And all those "people" saying really mean things, has it mostly come from men or women?

I notice you left that distinction out

Although after actually reading the article, doesnt seem to be about misogyny at all, but several other things like harrasment, intimidation, photos in public domain repackaged under this headline.

If I bothered to investigate further, I'd bet the legislation itself (if any, we are talking about a local council) doesnt actually say anything about hate crimes or misogyny

Just presented this way so the police force gets some media feeds. Police dont set the legislation, one county cant supercede national legislation.

I dont see how taking unwanted photos is going to be policed - then any actress or pop star in a place that is in public domain could get the photographer charged and call it a hate crime ???

Then of course the more militant members of my team get on the case: Ok. but what is a female, what is a male? If a cis gendered double cappucino tri polynomial sexual photo bombs a group photo of cross dressing tourists, is it a hate crime?

Does give me the complete shits though, what only guys say bitchy shit to women? Puhhhhlease
