I'm too old for this shit, but I've had at least three idiots almost bump into me today while staring at their phones with an extra dumb look (dumber than the look people usually give phones, that is.) Do you play? If so, on a scale of 1-10, how likely are you to end up walking into traffic by the end of the month?

I did read about people wondering into private residences and backyards. In a state like Florida or Texas, that would be a justifiable shooting. From what I understand, the game has a range of 45 feet, so people should never have to wonder into anyone's yard and anyone that does probably kinda deserves to be shot... a sort of Darwin Award for those trying to be the very best, like no one ever was.
Man i took my kid to the park last weekend and it was freaking eerie. There werent that many kids there because it was hot as balls but the place was filled with twentysomethings silently wandering around staring at their phones. It really tripped me out. No one was doing normal park activities, they were all just being pokemon zombies.
They need to make an app where someone take a picture trash pile location and some twenty something kids go clean it up.. put some of that wasted energy to use.
i don't believe in pokemon go. like, i literally don't think it exists. people on the radio and tv keep talking about it like in this thread, thousands of people wandering around aimlessly staring at their phones. yet, i haven't seen a single person doing anything like that. i have one friend who claimed to be playing it, but he didn't show it to me and he was looking at me instead of at his phone while talking about it, so i think he's just in on the joke.
I've seen people ranting about it being dumb and how 30 year olds are absorbed by it. One guy doing a neighborhood patrol in the car said he was looking for pokemon. I'm out of the game loop completely. I'll have to ask my 13 year old granddaughter about it.

Heheheh I went and got a new phone today because mine was too old to download Pokémon go. I've been planning on upgrading to a new phone for a while, but this was what made me finally do it. I am about to download it so we'll see if I'm a zombie in a day or two.
They had a story on the news yesterday about three teens from Missouri that used this game to lure people to some spot and then proceeded to rob the people. Yeah, that sure sounds like fun.
