It's really sad to see the arguably most liberal country in Europe close down their gay pride festival to spread cultural appropriation to all the refugees.

So this really demonstrates to all the migrants who live in Sweden that if they wis to live in a country that champions social equality to everyone, the locals won't put up with violence and intimidation to transition into an Islamic society.

College students are a disgrace for the most part nowadays. I saw a video with a girl saying "you are NOT supposed to create an intellectual space. You're supposed to create a HOME." I was disgusted. I wish the professor she was speaking to had thoroughly upbraided her.

Seems rather biased, just as the march itself seems intended to deliberately trigger a muslim reaction. That would suit the organizers greatly. If they marched through the wrong 'indigenous' neighbourhood they would get the same negative reactions, but this is less interesting and important for people who are mainly concerned with islam and how evil it looks to them.

Apparently, there were too many safety concerns in the wake of the recent terror attacks throughout Europe, and nobody's safety could be guaranteed. Not even Milo's.

Overly simplistic way to put it Glen.

We as western societies have only just implemented gay rights and tolerance ourselves, and even while it is often properly accepted and enforced by the system and laws it is not like every westerner is so tolerant and accepting of gays. But when these people from another society that never went through the social/cultural revolutions and developments that we had (and we NEEDED those to have gotten where we are now!!) answer a question like 'do you like gays' or 'are you supportive of a gay pride parade through your street?' with no it is all despicable and atrocious, and even more ridicilous: solely blamed on their religious affiliation, and when it is posed it is also cultural that is waved away as being an excuse.
Read well, people like OP and mr writer: I do not excuse any antihomosexual violence, intimidation or discrimination here. But even a lot of westerners do not like men with pink hot pants shaking their ass in front of their own house to demonstrate their homosexual pride. A lot of western people still get terribly annoyed by seeing 2 gay men kissing etc. in public. And not only conservative catholics or something.
So how can we reasonably expect all muslims to be applauding shit like that. And what does it exactly mean when they don't (just like plenty of westerners)?
We don't have to like these peoples convictions, religion or culture (just like sometimes is the case with our own fellow countrymen) but to blatantly assume every muslim is an antihomosexual is wrong (I know this for a fact), to put it as every middle eastern or arab should not get a permit to stay in such a socially progressive country as we live in because when asked if they approve of gays they would answer with 'no' is ridicilous and hypocritical.
When such an immigrant comes here in the form of a refugee and already intimidates other homosexual refugees in the refugee center (as has happened) there I would start with placing some meaning and consequences already as well, yes. Strong sign of societal problems and a lack of integration ahead indeed. The initial solution for this problem in my country was giving homosexual refugees a seperate place to stay. Seems a terrible non-solution indeed. Such individuals should be thought twice about if they deserve a place in our society. All muslim refugees as a whole however (because they come from a different cultural and social background which is deemed incompatible with ours) not really so. And the ones who are already in also deserve to be regarded and treated as individuals. Not for some pc reason, but because our society figured out that it is the best way for a fair and reasonable system to function.
