This isn't meant as an attack on people. Its just my genuine heartfelt view on people these days.

I talk to them for the humour/intellectual stimulus.

Women, I screw them. But I don't "like them". Its no different from eating a pleasant meal when I'm hungry.
And my male pursuits - sport, beer, football and stuff. They don't really make "friendships", its just how we are "socialised" as kids/youths.

But really, I truly, truly, TRULY hate people. Today I looked at someone and thought "I might as well be talking to a robot".

I mean I can control myself and my anger. And I don't act hatefully towards people. Either strangers or those I feel I owe an obligation to as part of the notion of friendship. I don't think hatefulness would benefit me in any way. Infact, I am less angry than nearly anyone I know.

We're meant to be sentient beings. But humans are more like zombies. Programmable zombies. The idea that most people "think" is nothing but a fantasy. And people only tend to be in a few categories. Evil scum. Doormats, cowards.Retards. Mixed bags. And something else that I can't even be bothered to describe.

And how can we "feel" anything, if most of what we "feel" has been programmed into us?

I've seen it all. Those that masquerade as saints. Those that claim to be deeply wronged and scarred. The vain self righteousness of others. And all the other types.

Ok some might say "ahh well you're xyz too". They may be right. I no longer care if someone likes me or utterly hates me. To be "liked" seems like a pointless exercise.

If I could be bothered, I think I'd hatch a plan to have cats take over the World.

Do you feel the same/the opposite or have you ever felt anything like this?
On this place, I suspect quite a few echo my sentiments. But whether they'll say so is another matter.

Before you can hate others you must truly hate yourself... ;)

    No that was "love".

And for the record "love is a bullshit concept invented to stop losers killing themselves" - Gordon Gecko, Wall St.

Maybe 'hate' is a bullshit concept invented to make it easy for people to kill other people or fuck them over in other ways.

But this is exactly why I made the thread. Well, one of the reasons anyway.

As I said, I don't like people. Yes I've used the word "hate". But I've no desire to cause them any harm whatsoever.
I mean I hate the taste of cauliflower. But I've no plans to burn down cauliflower factories etc.

I dont particularly like people as a whole, but not particularly for the same reasons. Too many people remind me of you. They dont know how to feel, they dont know how to love and carry around too much hatred in their hearts.

The people i love are the people who love openly and proudly and who have a generosity of spirit and arent afraid to be real

Personally, I find many people to be complete idiots submerged in complete bullshit - but my attitude is really one of indifference. To hate a thing is to bind yourself to a thing.

I was just trying to indicate that if love is a BS concept for the reason given, hate is just as much as BS concept. It never occurred to me that you intended harm to anyone.

    Who hurt you?
    Love is not a competition.

I only distance myself from those that hurt me.
I am not in love with what I see in most people.
People are vain, selfish, competitive, uncaring.... Many people, but there are those I do love.

I would trust and love an animal before I would most people.

I think you haven't looked at the whole gist of what I'm conveying. Maybe its because I haven't fully explained it.

Some people think that if you hate people, you will act badly towards them.
I don't. I've actually tried to go out and act in a good way towards them. Giving my time, help and other things. I mentioned it in one of the Christian threads.

I mean some people hate their job, but they're amongst the best workers you will find anywhere.

What I mean is, I have no belief in people. And I think its therefore pointless to have a true faith in them.
Something like that. Like the worker who hates his job.

I find most people to be predictable and boring, but I never know when I'm going to run into an exception.

I love people, granted most are shallow and intellectually lacking (at least compared to me!), but everyone is just a lost soul trying to get by.

Think about when you were a kid and how everyone you met was so interesting. Most of them anyway. I particularly like women, intellectually I mean, as they carry less competitive baggage, although they do tend to get emotional sometimes.

    So overall people are fascinating.

Women carry less competitive baggage? You just have rose colored glasses on about women.......Women can be worse than men sometimes. i have experienced it many times.

and in many different scenarios....Try going to a rummage sale sometimes, and a stampede of women will run you over just to get to the goodies first....lol

aand there have been once or twice that a woman has grabbed something I had found right out of my hands....! Unbelievable, at times.

Of course, the book dealer men, are no better rushing to the books and grabbing them all.

I think a big majority feel this way. We just keep on going and acknowledge the fact that it's something we cant change. This is why I have created my own personal bubble/sanctuary. I can control the level of idiots allowed in. So answer is yes!! I've felt this way as well. But I also know it is what it is, so no hate just acceptance and acknowledgment of the way it is.

I think that Jim Morrison line "People are Strange" sums it up succinctly for me.

It's stupid to hate anyone, let alone people in general. It's much easier to not have them in your life. It's hard to hate people if you're not around them. Hate vibrates on such a low level and I'd rather not have that in my life. [moderator edit] ... but hate is a very strong word to use, even for people who might be deserving of it.

What has happened in your life to make you feel this way about people? I mean, sure, there are definitely unlikable people in this world, I can say that with conviction. But to hate people as a whole, without even knowing them? I can't understand this mindset. I couldn't imagine going to the market and already having this per-determined hate for the person bagging my groceries. I just cant fathom being of that mind set.....

Is it an issue of never learning the right social skills to be able to communicate and understand people properly?

I definitely have my days (or weeks) where I don't want to be around people, I was to be a hermit in my apartment, I don't feel social, ect. But when it comes to people as a whole, I LOVE them. I say this often, and I mean it. I love people. I am compassionate, and I care for people deeply and without hesitation.

I catch your drift. The minority of people who are spontaneous and aren't afraid to be different are clearly more interesting
