Yes! Those are the ones I use. I usually have Peppermint, but just bought the Cherry Blossom one. Use them mostly in the shower. I never used to read the labels, but I realized that a lot of that stuff is getting absorbed into your pores, especially if you wash your face with warmer water.
:yikes: I had an actual cleanser once that caused chemical burns on my face. I try not too use anything that is foaming for my face.
I once fell asleep with a homemade mask on, and oh boy, did my face suffer afterwards. I never had my face suffer as much as it did that day. It's always been so good to me, so I don't know what happened. Okay, I know. I fell asleep with a mask on. But, still! Totally not my fault Anyways, I ended up making another mask of avocado and that cured everything up.
If you have any things that made you break out or have a rash lying around you should compare the ingredients of them all and see what ingredients are in those but not in the ones your skin likes. Then possibly you could tell what igredients you are sensitive to?
Yeah, I was out of body wash. I put it in a scrunchie, and used it as body wash. I use anything with lather, if I'm out of my stuff.
I used cocoa butter to moisturize my face for a few weeks several years ago until i noticed i was developing these weird wrinkles around my eyes and on my cheeks, which wad weird because i was like 22 at the time. Turns out they werent actually wrinkles, they were burns from the cocoa butter. I never would have expected thay from a natural product.
I know some people that apply olive oil to their skin. I read a study that showed that olive oil reduced sun damage to skin if applied AFTER sun exposure. I use sunscreen some, but only when I'm outside for a long time. A few family members have had precancerous spots removed, and I'm trying to avoid that.
It works for you? I am hesitant because it's comedogenic apparently. Does anyone have any experience with wheat germ oil? (also comedogenic, but I heard it's great for under eyes?)
I used the fractionated coconut oil for the first year to guard against that possibility. Now, I switched over to the solid, in the jar, and it's caused no problems.
Hmm how does that work with make up (foundation)? Interesting though, didn't know it could be used as sunscreen. Must google!
I use it every day (coconut oil, not wheat germ oil, but that sounds interesting) and i've never had any problems with it. It is actually one of two moisturizers i've used that doesnt cause break outs - the other being Burt's Bee's day cream, which is amazing. Coconut oil works really well with foundation too, it is a natural emollient
