I have wanted a Monroe piercing for as long as I can remember. I've always been afraid to do facial piercings because I was concerned that they would affect my ability to get a job. I am now working in an office for a company that is very accepting of alternative hair colors and piercings as long as they don't interfere with work (and I get the feeling that there is an unwritten rule permitting them as long as they are not too distracting). I feel like a small Monroe to start with would be okay and then when it heals I can do larger or more dramatic piercings outside of work. I've always loved the placement and thought they were so pretty... I've been reading up, and my questions are: -If you have one, how much did it hurt/bleed when it was done? -Is there a high risk of infection in your experience as it's partially inside the mouth? -What's this business about it causing gum/enamel erosion? -How much do they usually cost from a good, trusted piercing artist?
