quite a large asteroid will pass by the Earth on October 31st, getting closest at around 17.00 UTC. designated 'TB145' the asteroid is ca 400 m across and will approach the planet to around 487,000 km (1.3 times the distance to the Moon!). this is the largest asteroid to pass the Earth this close in the next 12 years to come. so those who want to see it, it is happening tomorrow. it won't be visible to the naked eye, unfortunately though, so you need a telescope. it is also possible to watch it live on the internet (the last link).
