I shouldn't admit to this, but I had rotisserie chicken today for lunch, with BBQ gravy (rotisserie gravy).

Never mind the Fireplace Channel, when I lived in Ontario, we had a Rotisserie Channel. lol Crazy.

I've been craving cake for a while so caved in today and got a chocolate brownie. It was actually quite dry and not at all satisfying, also I think I'm just getting used to eating lots healthier.

Yes, it was Swiss Chalet. I know it was an advertising gimmick, but who would sit and watch roasting chickens on a spit for hours on end (points to Expanse)?

 

Yeah I remember I was flipping through channels at my parents place when I was younger and found that channel. I stopped on it because I thought "ooh a cooking show, let's see what they do to the chickens." Well now I know, nothing. Nothing ever.

Also that hot dog in the link looks pretty delicious.

I see someone else already answered this although I've always used jalapeno peppers. I've also never been to Chicago so have had to make these myself, maybe I've been making them the wrong way with the jalapenos. Either way they are delicious!

Just curious what is the most common way to make a hot dog where you live?

Down south they make 'em with poo-inducing chili and occasionally cole slaw. So you can understand why I am a traitor to my geographic region and make them Chicago style instead.

 

We aren't big on hot dogs here. I doubt there is an ottawa style hot dog. Most street meat vendors have big delicious spicy sausages though!
