Bare-Breasted Women In 1950's Porn...

Why do they only show bare breasts, in porn from the 1950's? I mean, why would they think that is not "obscene"? I know where I live, even topless dancers have to wear pasties. So there is some argument for breasts to be "naked-ness" too, I think.

Also where did they ever find some of these women? Have you ever seen them? I have to admit, I am gay, so I may not be best qualified to say. But they're butt-ugly! Aren't they, some of them?

can't say i've ever come across 1950s porn. didn't even know for sure that it existed.

i'm not sure i really understand the question. you're asking why porn shows nudity?

 

Well I personally find retro porn more of a turn on than this modern stuff.....All too often these days the women in them are so false ....I love the natural women the way God made em.......But without the nagging ....only kidding...Women are great :gorgeous:

 

To respond to your and i'minmyunderwear's reply, I think my question does have some merit. I wasn't alive in the 1950's (although my parents were, ironically). But from what I've heard, it was a very different time. Most porn was in fact illegal (although admittedly, there was a huge underground swell of it, yes). And I'm just curious how they got away with bare breasts, even. Was it a supreme court ruling? Was it just the laws and mores of the time? I wasn't there, so I'd really like to know.

 

if it was illegal, i assume that's your answer right there. they didn't "get away with it," they just did it.

 

Joined the National Guard back in '57 when I got out of high school. One night the Guard had a beer and porn get together and the remarks some of us made were hilarious. (at the time). That was the first time most of us had ever seen anything like it.The men were greasy little guys with mustaches and always seem to have black socks on during sex. The women were---well---they were in there. It was black and white and just silly.

I'm also old enough to remember little (about 4 by 6) comic books that actually showed people screwing. Boys used to pass 'em around. Oh, it was scandalous if you were caught with 'em!
