    The Three Ages of Man
    after Titian's Painting 1512 - 1514

    This was a painting I saw at the Bass Museum on Miami Beach some years ago and got a pic with a film camera.

    I really found the placement of those flutes to be very suggestive. I sometimes wonder about these things - did Titian realize this, did he do it on purpose leaving a hidden erotic message in his painting? Do they point these things out in Art History? Like Michelangelo using one of his goy boy toys to represent his sculpture of David?

    It's hard to imagine that a genius of Titian's stature didn't know exactly what he was doing.
