These are just some of my personal opinions. I'm probably going to be bashed for a lot of them and if they make you feel uncomfortable or angry, please don't answer. These are just things I think about and yes I know they could be very wrong, but again, these are MY opinions. I'm just curious to know if anyone thinks the same way. Yes or no because?
And to be very clear, THESE AREN'T MEANT TO BASH ANYONE AT ALL! I HAVE QUITE A FEW FRIENDS THAT HAVE SOME OF THE ISSUES THAT I'M ABOUT TO LIST. THIS ARE JUST IDEAS AND AREN'T MEANT TO ACTUALLY HURT ANYONE!!

    1. I do believe being gay is a choice. You can choose to love anyone. I thought I was straight for a while because I never CONSIDERED the thought of being anything else but straight. But as time went on and I got away from close-mindedness, I started to think about the opposite sex and what it would be like to be with the opposite sex. So now I'm bi because I CHOOSE to go either way.
    2. Why does the LGBT community have to "come out" when it hurts so much? You don't have to tell the whole world. Tell the few people you trust and move on with it. You run less of a chance of being ridiculed if you tell a small circle you trust. Why do you have to tell anyway? I told a few of my friends and that was it.
    3. I feel like anxiety is all in your head. What are the things that make you nervous and why do they? Why do you let them? I personally feel like there shouldn't be medicine for that. Of course, I don't have this issue, so there's an extremely high chance, or rather I am completely wrong.
    4. I feel like depression shouldn't be a thing. You get depressed when something tragic happens. I understand being down for a little while, but eventually you have to start thinking about something else. if you have a life, which everyone does, you should be able to get your mind off of whatever it is that is make you depressed.
    5. Self harm is stupid. There are countless other ways to deal with depression than cutting and taking pills. Those things are only going to make you feel worse. Doing something that makes you happy.
    6. I think sudical people aren't the smartest. Though I have no clue about what goes on in those people's minds, but do they ever think about life down the road? All the things that they want to do and can do. I feel as though they're thinking about the now. There are countless other people in the world that have it worse than them and can still smile.

opinions are something everyone has at least one of.
it might be pointless to judge them, as we are what we are.
mine however, differ quite strongly, and i believe rationally, from those you have stated.

and i fail to see how any of those first few you have mentioned, are any business what so ever,
of anyone other then the individuals themselves involved.

my opinion, is that the filth of aggressiveness, whatever religious, ideological, or what ever other excuse is made for it,
is the one and only thing, that evil is.

that is to say, the most harmful and destructive force in all of existence, and the ultimate root cause there of.

you say depression shouldn't be a thing, yet you self-ritiously promote one of the most fundimental root cause of it.

'not meaning to hurt', does nothing to prevent nor avoid causing, hurt to occur.

nor is the versimilitude of such a claim, even close to being above suspicion.

and there is no such thing as anything being "just" anything.

No to all, here are my because's:

    1. I don't believe that being gay is a choice, as it seems perfectly obvious that there are a great many people for whom their sexuality is something that either they despise (usually for religious reasons) or that makes life very difficult for them and causes them to be isolated or ostracized. If being gay was a choice, why would they have chosen to be gay?

I once had someone say to me "well, it's a subconscious choice". A subconscious choice cannot be a choice. You cannot be unaware that you are making a choice.

I do, however, believe that sexuality is largely a social construction, and that binary conceptions of sexuality are deeply flawed. I think most people are probably bisexual, to one degree or another. You can make a limited choice in that you can attempt to live in such a way that you so not try to suppress impulses when they arise, and you can choose to act or not act on these bisexual impulses, but you cannot consciously choose whether or not to have them.

    2. There are no hard or fast rules for the LGBT community, some people choose to come out and some don't, or only come out to specific people. Most people feel the need to come out because they want their family to recognize and understand their sexuality and to not feel that they have to keep it a secret from people that they are close to. Others do not feel the need to do this. Some feel under pressure and fear the judgement of others, this can mean that coming out is a stressful idea to them, sometimes they choose not to come out at all.

    3. Anxiety is all in your head. So is pain. Pain is merely a series of signals in your brain telling you that you are at risk of injury. Here's an experiment: try reminding yourself of that fact that next time you stub your toe on something, did the pain go away?
    I'm guessing no.
Now imagine that a series of signals in your brain are telling you you are in constant danger from things even though you logically know that these things are not inherently dangerous. Do you think that it would help to tell yourself that the fear is all in your head? how's your toe feeling?

Why on earth shouldn't there be medicine for that? some people experience such severe anxiety that they find it impossible to hold down a job or even leave their homes, why should they not have access to medication that could allow them to lead normal lives?

    4. I also feel like depression shouldn't be a thing. Neither should cancer, or heart disease. The fact is that depression is a thing, a very real, very damaging mental condition which can be severely debilitating and very, very hard to treat. Depression is usually brought about by a variety of different things: nuerological, chemical and environmental factors all have effects on it. Depression is not the same as grief or shock, it sounds like you may be conflating the two.

    5. I'm getting the impression that you have never had to deal with anybody suffering from depression, if so, congratulations. This sort of thing takes a terrible toll not only on those who it affects but also those that care for them. I dearly hope that you never have to support someone through something like this but the sad fact is that at some point depression will either affect you or someone that you know. Self harm is illogical, but some people suffering from depression feel compelled to do it. calling it "stupid" implies a failure of intelligence, implying a choice. There is no choice in this situation, these people feel compelled to harm themselves.

    6. I think that Stephen Fry can probably explain this better than I

your opinions are rather naive and illustrate a lack of life experience.
