Should he run? Will he run?

His oldest son, who just died, asked his father on his deathbed to run for President.

He comes across as somebody who connects with ordinary people. Bernie Sanders talks the talk, but Joe walks the walk. He used to take Amtrak home for the weekend, all the years that he was in the Senate. He isn't as intellectual as Bernie, but voters don't always care about that.

Polls show that people trust him a lot more than they trust Hillary. If he gets in, things on the Democratic side could get a lot more interesting.

He comes across as a typical arrogant politician, but even more arrogant than most. Would not vote for him or any crooked politician that puts on a phony act to attract votes, saying what people want to hear but always doing the exact opposite once in office.

If he does run, you could join his campaign and go around spewing empty, meaningless slogans like this one.

Well, if that's what the polls say then he must be good. I mean, shit, a million Elvis fans can't be wrong.

Plus he is a self-professed Zionist (and known CFR member). How lovely.

You seem to have trouble understanding the difference between understanding the polls and liking everything they tell us.

I'm voting for Hillary, and will probably do some volunteer work for her campaign later on. I also like most of what Sanders has to say, but he comes across a little too much like a college professor to connect with the average voter. Joe could give her more of a race than Bernie will.

You must not have been paying attention. Many times, Biden has gotten in trouble with the media for saying what he thinks and doing what he wants without first considering the political consequences.

Also, there's a big difference between saying other people should use public transportation and being seen riding it, not just once for the cameras, but every week for 20+ years. Most politicians in Washington think they're too good to ride with the ordinary people. I like Hillary, but I can't see her on a train for two hours.

Joe lives in Wilmington, Delaware. Not an upscale kind of a town.

I remember reading an article right after gay marriage was legalized where a white house aide was quoted as saying Joe Biden tied a cape around his neck after hearing the news and ran through the halls of the white house.

so he seems somewhat human to me, a cute goofy old man. As far as politics? Nah. I swore I would never vote Democrat or Republican again except if a special candidate came along and ol' Bernie is that person. Bernie is an independent running as a Democrat but Biden is just a Democrat. I try to avoid supporting the two party system as much as I can.

I do like Biden more than Hilary.

In part because he simply won't shut up. He talks and talks and talks. I think that does add to his aura of arrogance. The only thing worse than him winning the nomination would be him winning and choosing Chuck Schumer as his running mate.

I just found out yesterday that Amy Schumer is his cousin!

Isn't it amazing that in theoretical polls, Joe comes in second among Democrats, even though he hasn't announced what his platform or major goals would be?

Poor Bernie. He just doesn't have what it takes, even though his intentions and ideas are very good.

I don't think Joe's going to run, which means a very boring Democratic primary season.

Current word is that Joe will hold off on making a final decision until after it becomes clear whether Hillary's e-mail server investigation is going to go anywhere. The FBI took the server late yesterday or early today.

A potentially game changing development, Al Gore is now taking a serious look at running. Now that it seems like there is a legitimate possibility that the e-mail controversy could take Hillary out, that scenario would leave Biden as the top contender by default, and Gore knows he's beaten Joe more than once, by a substantial margin. Why would Gore want to hand the nomination to Biden on a silver platter?

I know Sanders supporters don't want to hear this, but he isn't viewed by the Democratic leadership as a serious contender. He has plenty of good qualities and good ideas, but he's stuck at a popularity level that gives him no chance of beating a more mainstream candidate like Biden or Gore, and part of his support in polls includes an "anybody but Hillary" sentiment that could quickly go elsewhere. I just hope Bernie gets something out of this, and makes some kind of positive impact.

What's age got to do with it? Experience is a good thing. My problem with this guy is that he seems a little like Trump. Hard to take him seriously.

Bernie Sanders probably can't get elected since the Conservatives have painted him with the "socialist" stigma. I think he is the best candidate by far, but ihe is unlikely to survive the primary.

Editorial in The Wall Street Journal states that The Server was confiscated to keep it out of the hands of Congress, The Courts or other independent bodies and that The Justice Dept will just bury it.

Over the weekend, Joe met with Elizabeth Warren. He met with Obama today, and is meeting with key donors right now. Looks like this thing is going to happen.

Actually I would like to see Al Gore throw himself in the race. He will be forced to answer questions to crazy statements he's made 10 years ago. Like how he said the arctic could be completely ice free in the summer months in the next 5-7 years if we kept up with the same rate of carbon emissions. He made these statements in 2005-2006.

He probably won't run for that reason. Just so he can avoid these pressing questions.

Sanders has self-identified as a socialist since the 80s. Nobody had to paint him that way.
