Sti Question...

So my girlfriend got tested and found out she had Chlamydia about 4 months ago. I went ASAP and got tested and found out that I dont have it. We have been together (monagamously) for almost 2 years and regularly have unprotected sex since she is on birth control. How is it possible for her to have this and I didnt catch it? She had to have had it for a while and we had been having sex for over a year at this point. Has anyone ever heard of someone having an STI and their partner not catching it even after a long period of time of unprotected sex?

 

dont matter if you had it or not,, you should still be treated for it..

 

you should probably have a follow up visit with your doctor if you haven't had one

 

I'm curious as to where you got tested and why they didn't counsel you on this.

Chlamydia is spread by vaginal and anal intercourse, is not passed through casual contact. 70-95 percent of women with chlamydia have no symptoms and
90 percent of men with chlamydia have no symptoms.

Both people must be treated for chlamydia before you have sex again or it's like a dog chasing it's tail.

 

Is there any chance she cheated on you and contracted the STI from the person she cheated with?

Sorry I didn't respond so fast... I personally don't think she cheated and either way for the sake of arguement lets say she did i still should have caight it. Im thinking false positive? Im not sure... What are the chances of a false positive? Btw we were both tested she had it and i didnt and we were both also treated.

 

LOL, what will do your head in later on, is how old the guy was she cheated with

 

Wouldn't it have been best to ask the doctor these questions?
