Do you think people should be allowed to do this? Or do you not give a fuck?

Heres me and my crew flexing our power at the local Chipotle.

    Nope. I think it's disgraceful.

By all means, bear arms, but fuck outta a resteraunt or a cafe with that shit. :D buncha try hards if you ask me.

There's a saying that the boastful man utters nonsense as he speaks while the quiet man listens and learns. To me it looks like if your guns are out and you're making a sorry attempt at a photo to look cool, you're totally harmless. It'd be the quiet guy, the one that ain't doing anything, the one smirking at the boys holding guns.. It's him I'm worried about. ;)

There's a time and a place for guns. Granted, I don't live in loony fucking America. But out in the streets, in clubs, pubs and food areas. You don't need to carry a gun. I mean who ya trying to be? Pancho and Lefty? Holstered gun outside your pants for all the honest world to feel? :d

Being a former member of the military I fully support Open/Carry and I wish every state would adopt these laws.

Did you know that Arizona has open carry, and concealed is generic and the state no longer issues conceal permit at all. Silencers are legal, too. Whatever.

Seems to work Okay. Way less deaths there then in some other states.

It seems to me that if the founding fathers wanted to limit the right to bare arms then they would had said so. Back in those days individuals owned cannons.

Nowhere in the constitution does it say "except for nuclear arms." Does it. So, I say that if you can pronounce the word correctly. Not "Nu-Cu- Lar", like President Bush says, and if you can afford it, then you should be able to own one. (Or as many as you can)

    BTW. Your picture is adorable.

And they should be stored and stowed away in a safe environment when they are not needed. :)

Who knows how many lives would have been saved from psychos with guns if more states allowed for open or concealed carry. I personally am not a fan of guns, but I find it more than a little annoying when these limp-wristed bleeding hearts decry people who lawfully carry weapons but are silent about the increasing militarization of local police forces across the country. At the same time many gun advocates annoy me because of their tendency to fall into the cliches that many anti-gun people paint of them. The people who carry assault weapons with them just make themselves look like the rednecked morons they are.

no. There are people in this world who don't like guns and who are made very uncomfortable by guns, but no one gives a shit about them and their right not to have guns shoved in their face every moment when gun enthusiasts start throwing around talk of gun rights.

I dont care if people own guns or even concealed carry but open carry is a ridiculous concept

I am an avid gun owner, shooter, and collector. I'm also an NRA certified instructor.

To correct one statement previously made: Yes, open carry is legal in AZ. Also, if you can legally own a gun, you may carry it concealed, without the need of a permit. It's called "Constitutional Carry", and Alaska & Vermont also have it, along with at least one other state, which I can't recall right now. Vermont has had this for many, many years, and was the first state to do so...I believe AZ was second. I just read that Ohio is attempting to pass similar legislation.

HOWEVER...permits do still exist in AZ. I have one. You might ask, "Why have a permit, if none is required?" There are several reasons. One, constitutional carry does not apply to establishments which serve alcohol. So, if you wish to carry while out at dinner, and your restaurant of choice serves alcohol, you must have a permit. Even then, you may not consume alcohol while carrying. And still, restaurants may choose not to allow this, in which case they may post a sign stating such, right next to their liquor license.

The second reason for having a permit is so that you might enjoy reciprocity with those states that recognize your permit. Constitutional Carry allows for no such reciprocity.

The third reason is that your permit acts as a sort of "instant background check". It is proof that you have no restrictions on your rights, and nullifies the need for a background check. Also, if you ever buy from an individual (as opposed to a gun shop) it provides the seller with a measure of comfort, as to your legal standing.

There are other reasons, as well...but they're a bit more esoteric, so I'll not go into them now.

I'm a supporter of a person's right to bear arms. Openly or concealed, is there really any significant difference? Since very few criminal types are likely to carry openly...I have little-to-no-reason to fear an individual who is open-carrying. Does the addition of an un-tucked shirt, or a jacket, really make some of you believe that you're safer?

The truth is, people have become instructed in the false notion that, "Guns are bad, m'kay?", and so are now uncomfortable in their presence. And now, many people want to curtail the rights of law-abiding citizens, based purely on their own irrational fears. This is analogous to supporting a ban on gay marriage, based solely on some personal dislike of the notion of 2 people of the same gender engaging in sexual activities. Both are attempting to limit the rights of law-abiding citizens from engaging in activities that harm no one, merely because someone is "uncomfortable" with the concept.

However...it strikes me that people are merely attempting to shock and dismay people when they openly carry long guns. I'm not suggesting it should be illegal, as there are doubtless some occasions when it may be proper. But, by-and-large, there's little rationale behind carrying an AR-15 in an urban or suburban environment. They are chambered for cartridges which are capable of enormous penetration (giggity), and present a grave danger to passers-by, should they be discharged.

So, yes...I'm a supporter of open and concealed carry. But, a time and a place for carrying long guns in urban environments.

And, to those who suggest there's no need to carry a gun, "out in the streets, in clubs, pubs, and food areas", I'll just say this...can you predict when and where you'll "need" car insurance? When will you need that seat belt, and when is it okay not to wear it? I know that I lack the ability to foresee the future. If one could predict when one would "need" a gun on a given day, don't you think that people would merely avoid that place at that time? One cannot predict when such a thing might happen. The only way to be prepared, is to ALWAYS be prepared (within practical limitations, obviously). I'm not advocating paranoia, I'm just saying be realistic.
