I'd become an activist to get the public attention, and well promoting feminism, and gay rights, and all these social issues, I'd be cussing out congress and called a hero

I have motor tics, I don't have any spontaneous verbal things though which is characteristic of Tourette's.

If I got made fun of in Tourette fits, I'd probably consciously use that to my advantage at times too. Like amuse myself and call someone "DipshitcockFuck" then politely ask them to get me a glass of water.

I'd let them know about that town in Canada where the most of the population has tourettes. Read about it years ago.

kind of a weird question... the whole point of tourette's is that you don't just decide what you're going to say. so how would anybody know what their tic is going to be?

i was diagnosed with slight tourette's as a child. it's under control enough at this point that you can't even see it unless i'm exhausted, but basically all it ever actually consisted of was occasional facial tics. from my understanding, that's how it usually works; i think the verbal thing is actually a pretty small minority of tourette's people.

I worked for a while at a home for old people with dementia, there were loads of old blokes there who'd been colliers back in the day. as a generational thing, they swore every other word when they were at work and had really thick accents, but at home with the wife theyd never swear and would kind of mute their accents.

Their wives would visit them in the home and be totally shocked that they werent remembering to keep it lean any more. "he never used to talk like that, and i can barely make out a word he says that isnt swearing."
