He has announced that he is running.

What does everyone think? Will you vote for him? What do you think about his economic opinions and what he would plan to do as President?

I already kicked his campaign $10. I believe in this guy.

He would definitely have my vote... Thinking about donating a bit to his campaign as well.

I am happy he's running and would be pretty stoked about that ticket.

I don't know if he has a chance in hell but if nothing else....he's going to (hopefully) force other candidates to take public positions on issues none of them would rather discuss.

He won't be funded by insane amounts of over expenditure. He will require those who are already a bit tight to shave him off a piece. There are so many of us though that if the majority of the majority of us donated a bit..we could have a chance at matching the huge private donations that other candidates enjoy.

Candidates like Bernie need lots of Social media attention because of the financial disadvantage. If you support his ideals you should DEFINITELY annoy your closest dissatisfied republican/democrat family members/friends with his message and how they can get involved. Making them hate you is a small price to pay if you can get them to at least click a link. Even if its motivated by annoyed curiosity. Increased reading into Bernie is associated with: Increased beard stroking, Sudden urges to vote well ahead of elections, light drowsiness.

    Much love.

The latter is really what we have to fall back on here. The more support he gets, the more likely it is that the other candidates will have to take his views seriously..and then compete with them. Which I feel will be difficult to do when appealing to quite a few broke, dissatisfied citizens.

Yes, he goes to the top of my list. He is one of the very few honest persons in Washington. He says he will not run any negative ads against Hillary, and I think that is wise. Did you know that a high percentage of the voters of Vermont have actually met him?

Now that's a true politician. I've definitely spammed his facebook on mine. So people get used to seeing him. I feel like the more people that are familiar with him, the better.

The thing I respect most about his candidacy is that he's running as a Democrat, not as an independent, which will not help the Republicans in any way.

I'm a little surprised by the support I'm seeing for him in my area. Obviously, I haven't talked to every person I know but from what I have heard and read online in the last few days....of the people who would vote for Hillary...who have made their opinions known in the last few days....I can't think of a single one who is saying they are still rooting for Hillary. Again...that's just the people I've talked to or read their thoughts. They all want Sanders. And....I live in Iowa.

I was just talking to a friend of mine this afternoon and she was saying how happy she was that Sanders is running. She said "Now if we can just get Warren to run!" I said "How about them running on the same ticket?" She said "That would be a godsend!" and she went on about the 1%, Wall St. etc and all the things that need to change. I'm sure most of us would agree but what kind of makes her perspective unique is that she's loaded. I don't mean loaded...like...worth a few million. I mean loaded...like....she is one of the 1%. Her family own companies that own companies that own companies. They have a private jet with a pilot that flies them to their corporate office in Florida and back.

I think it's pretty notable when someone like her is rooting for a Sanders/Warren ticket. His support may surprise the political establishment. For the record....you'd never guess that my friend has those resources if you met her. Normal house, normal car...nothing fancy at all about her.

With the Koch brothers financing whatever horse they choose, I'll see elephants fly before i feel bad for any Republican disadvantages. The Republicans are already going to have a very hard time making a case that they are worth being taken seriously again. I think people overlook how much George W. Bush damaged the credibility of a Republican president. People are tired of our country being represented by a rich guy with a slight southern accent who has an agenda that doesn't represent the majority. I think Bernie is finally a guy we can actually have some faith in, which is really cool.

I cant wait for the day that majority truly rules.

It really goes to show that even some of the people who aren't dealing with dragon sickness can see what's going on. Stories like that are really uplifting to read. The fact that he's running is an unexpected pulse, for me anyways. I've always been quite cynical about politics in general.

He's already raised $1.5 million! With more than 35,000 people donating in the last 24 hours alone. Go Bernie!

I should say....for as much money as her family has...she's probably one of the most liberal people I know. I think much of her family is too. Her dad died a while back and he knew quite a bit about building since one of their business interests is some very large construction companies. I never met him but I've heard he was one of the kindest, most generous people you could meet and he spent the last few years of his life building affordable housing for the poor and not making a dime from it. That's pretty damn cool!

That also is pretty cool. I love that he built in a non profit way. I know that contracting can be an almost addicting past time. My grandfather, dad, and myself all have worked in contracting and construction. It feels good to do it for money sure, but to know that I'm just helping and not earning a cent would make it even better. As long as you can afford the time and have a reliable alternative source of money. Bernie seems like the kind of guy who can easily appeal to the warm heart of this country that has never gone away.

I'm gonna reserve that Album for a special occasion. xD

I like him a lot, I said in another thread that it would take a very special Democrat or Republican to sway my vote from third party candidates. I think he is that special candidate. Of course he is essentially a third party candidate running as a Democrat.

I'll be ecstatic to vote for Bernie in both the primary and the general elections.
Even if he doesn't win, his popularity could get him the VP offer.

And a Clinton/Sanders ticket would be mighty fuckin strong. ;)

I'm personally in preference of the Sanders/Warren. That would be such a perfect match. I would swoon in comparison to anything Clinton might do.
