I am studying in chemistry. 70 percent of students are girls in this department but them girls dont even talk to me. At university I can only talk to males. When I go near a girl and try to talk, she acts bad to me. Why should girls not talk to me. What makes me too bad? Its my 3rd year at university and I cant talk to them. I am depressed. It's like I am not worth their talking to me.

We need way more details. What are you saying to them? How are you saying it? How many times has this happened? What kind of student are you in class? Do you have many friends in class? Have you ever been with a woman? Have you ever been in a relationship? All these are factors that can contribute to the problem you are describing, these are just off the top of my head.

Of course I have never been in a relation ships. I cant even talk to girls. When I try to talk to them, they are bad to me. My trying to talk to them bothers them. I say hi, they hardly respont it so I cant go beyond saying hi. All I can say is hi, when I try to make a conversation, I guess they begin to think I make a move on them so they act badly for me to get away from them. I dont have many friends but its easy to talk with the same gender, but difficult with the opposite gender. I cant talk with the opposite gender cuz they are not talking to me. Maybe bacause they have boyfriends and they dont wanna talk to me in any way? All I can say is hi.Nothing more than saying hi usually.

From my experience, you just neeed to be chill when you talk to girls.......or ANYONE for that matter. I think you've already put up your guard when approaching girls due to the nervousness you feel toward them, but as you have noticed they tend to have their own guard up pretty high as well when interacting with new people. So what do you do? You need to make them feel more comfortable around you, and you can't really do that unless you YOURSELF are relaxed when you talk to them.

Good senses of humour and wit tend to help improve awkward situations. And really, it all comes down to HOW you come across to others, in this case the ladies. There are so many different ways to say a simple "hi". If you say "hello" and they start giving off vibes that suggest they are getting uncomfortable, then you need to learn how to greet them without making them feel that way. From my own experience, it is a good idea to keep things light and casual, but you also, always, need to be courteous and respectful toward them. Offer compliments without being too intense. Tell them funny jokes if you know of any, but avoid those rude ones at least until you know for sure they can appreciate those. Some girls like them, but some don't. If you find them in need of help and you think you can help them, then by all means do what you can to help them. That sort of thing.

    Hope this helps.......

What are other reasons? I believe I smell the way a normal guy smells.

That's the thing though, evidently people that smell don't know that they smell. Your "normal" could be whale carcass. :d

Shower after every meal, and don't forget to wash behind your ears

Does your uni run any extracurricular activities or groups? If you could attend something like that you might start to have some structured fun activities which would give you more of a pretext to talk to some girls.I'm also shy with the females so know what it can feel like.
