Have fun with that... New stuff will record directly over the old.

Better to get it to overdub onto the other side's tracks like a 4 track does... Or just get a cheap old Fostex 4 track cassette recorder.

Pro Tolls 11.12 and HD work pretty well to. I think you can record 512 MIDI tracks and over 700 audio--not that most of need all that--it's for scoreing, movies or recording chior or symphany, but I've been getting some hot rock/flok/blues and "song writing tracks." AAC is best for PT to PT but wav. mp3, and Mac audio tracks work too.

Drop bos would not install on my Maac-I had dmg?? So? But e-mail, FB work. I can record in most comon formates.
Has anyone conciderd getting 4 to 6 people on Skype or FT? A few years ago I practiced with band mates while on tour so we didn't lose the grove while playing with other bands or working in the studio. Haven't tried it for a while but I think I know the upgeade--converters are a nessesity, same bit depth and speed

Yes you can. Pro level DAWs can do just about anything during mix down. But it would be rude if the person sending the track had a progression melody and at least a simple click track---sort of. she's right random tracks are un-usable. Everyone needs to at least know the basics of the song--Key, progrssion, melody. tempo, and lyrics if any.
