Who would you choose? Not that i want to fly anywhere. I think i trust delta the most cause i have flown with them before and no mishaps

Qantas usually, but this is kind of silly, has a lot to do with which country you are going from and to. Not like I'd be able to pick Nepal air to go to France

    Emirates are pretty good.

If I'm just going somewhere close by that doesn't take too long, I'm happy to just go with a budget airline.

Flying as cheap as possible makes me feel bad. Its even better for the environment/atmosphere to drive the whole way in an old diesel car :p (and probably at least as fun, if you have the time)

Major carrier jet air craft are usually pretty safe. Some flights get sub-contracted to sketchy minor carriers, and there is reason to think that they are less safe (very bottom line driven, overworked/fatigued pilots, etc). Certain aircraft models may be less safe than others.

Bus or train is probably just as good or better for the environment, and safer. Driving is pretty dangerous.

USAir, because they have direct flights to most of the places I want to go. I hate making connections.

Sure, but I prefer driving above taking the train or bus and in proportion the airplanes do the most damage (to the environment). I used the old diesel car as an example, you could take a newer car and pollute as less as a bus ;)

Cheapest option, unless that is something like Aeroflot or other dodgy airline. I am extremely willing to sacrifice comfort in order to save money.

I really don't like flying anymore though. Issues with equalizing. I've also grown to hate the whole process of dealing with airports. The actual flight is just boring, but the airports.. ugh.
If the option to take a train, bus, or drive is there, I'd much rather do that.

Deps on the route but anyway:-

Best overall airlines: Singapore and similar, Virgin for US.
best overall: private plane with ex fighter pilot (altho I was worried he was gonna have a heart attack..)
    Best staff: Alitalia, Air France
    Shit: BA, Air India.Ryanair.
Absolute twats: Thomas Cook, BMI, Easyjet, the big 3 American airlines.

Generally the 1st tier Asian airlines are good.

I think we are using delta/virgin airlines on our trip. Cheapest flights. I've been on many flights and I remember Emirates being the nicest but also the most expensive.

I am trying hard not to choose any more airplanes. they scare me. I heard Finn Air is very good, but I never flew Finn Air. My brother did.

British Air was good when I flew British Air once upon a time.
    United was good, too.

Statistically the most safest type of transport easily.
