Labia And Reduction Surgery

My man has always enjoyed labia. He says he likes to feel something down there and likes playing with them tugging on them and pulling them apart to open up the vagina. So why do women want to have these removed or made smaller? I don't get it. Don't guys like women with labia or not?

Wife has large thick meaty labia, and protrude out. In highschool she was very insecure about them. To top it off she had thin pubic hair, so they stuck out like a sore thumb. I have had a breast aug (twice actually) and a labiaplasty (and hood removal). I admit that there are many times I regret the second breast aug. I wasn't as into running, biking, and working out at the time as I am now. Now I find they get in the way. Even from a fashion perspective, my boobs are too large to wear a lot of cute clothes. I went from an A to a C to a DD. C-cup would be perfect now.

The motive behind my labiaplasty was equal parts comfort and appearance. Yeah, I admit I prefer the appearance of small labia over large labia, but if mine hadn't been so large I probably would have passed on it. It cost several thousand dollars so it wasn't something I took lightly, although I was only 22 and my older first husband picked up the tab. I have never for a moment regretted having had the labiaplasty. I definitely like they way I look down there.

I haven't yet had my surgery but will do so when I can afford it and the answer to the original poster is: discomfort, chaffing, a sense that one's genital area can be improved thus giving greater confidence, aesthetics and overall feel and with hood removal, access or better access allowing direct stimulation of the clitoris because the hood really can get in the way and retraction is often difficult.

I think it is portrayed in pornography, reinforcing the belief. because porn typically shows men and women in the current trend, i believe this makes men and women feel they aren't normal, that they should change their bodies to reflect what is thought to be the new norm. for example in the 80's most porn showed women and men with a lot of public hair, and today you rarely see more than a little hair on a women in porn. i think that the labia is very similar. because its not the current style, some women feel their bodies aren't normal, and they get a labia reduction surgery which i think is pointless unless she really has a lot of issues with it. Yes I'm sure there are some women out there who need it because it maybe abnormally large and perhaps impede urination or sex, i would think thats what the surgery is aimed at. I read in a text book that there are many places in Africa were women actually try and stretch their labia out and make them bigger because it increases the amount of sensation for the man during sex. and that women with large labia are actually more attractive to men than those with smaller labia.
