The long winter is almost over
    The ground
    frozen
for what feels like a lifetime
    begins to thaw
    in your sunshine eyes

    I am a flower
    trapped beneath the ice
    ready to bloom
and bask in the hopes of summer

I remember reading a different poem a while back about winter and the transformative process, and now, I have a deja vu because I want to say what I said then:

The winter wait is well worth it, ya heard me?

The winter wait certainly is worth it

This poem is my way of describing a bad relationship ending and the hope of a new one
