IDK if I have the talent to draw it but the Prophet Muhammad eating shit and shitting out Jihadists is the concept. I know it is disgusting and insulting to Islam - that is the motivation.

What those Jihadist fucks did to innocent ppl in Paris on Tuesday, following their faith in their shit eating Prophet Muhammad was abhorrent and disgusting. Blaspheming their fucked up religion feels good today.

(And no, don't tell me about the Christian atrocities going on in those African Hellholes today. That too is a fucked up religion)

Spot on about Islam.

 

"Radical Islam" is nothing more than a convenient excuse for those in power to wage wars abroad and promote the police state domestically by instilling fear. I am sick of people using Islam as a justifcation to wage tyranny and trample people's rights. Don't you even see who most stands to gain from all this, regardless if everything the news is telling you is true or not?

You liberals disgust me. On one hand you shove multiculturalism and "tolerance" down people's throats, and on the other you attack an entire culture you know nothing about because of what a few have (allegedly) done. In reality all you know is the fearmongering fed to you by the corporate media.

The only thing in Shale's post that 'I am with' is the part about terrorists and the people who support them. I also agree with the right to make blasphemous pics but where you guys are going wrong is when you include all other muslims and/or the whole religion the terrorists happen to proclaim it doing in the name of.

 

Clearly not. Well at least clear for me.. People are always the problem. How can you say it is not the people when the majority of the religion isn't killing anyone!? Nuts!

 

Here is a lack of self composure. Our inherirence as living creatures means we have the capacity to have the composure of a national park. We also have the capacity to errupt into storm. It is those whose good life seems somehow distant that lean to hate and it's dramatic representations.

 

Religion is peaceful. Zealots who twist the words of religion to suit their hate are not

 

The same for those who think it is reasonable to justify hate.

 

Where it comes to religion the so called openmindedness of hippies overall is lacking so much that I have to agree with Pressed Rat: it seems hypocritical. They focus so much on the people that do bad in the name of religion that they really don't take any time or effort to look objectively at the whole thing anymore. Same with why those extremists are actually going over the border to western countries and commit terrorist deeds here. Why didn't that happen before? It is as much political and societal rather than it just being done for cultural/religious principles or differences. Please don't be a sheep because you dislike religion so much.

 

Hip Forums used to be filled with spiritual people whom shared joyous philosophies...

I don't personally dislike religion/s or peaceful folks that practice it/them. But someone please inform me as to the value of it/them. Perhaps

the historical value relative to its place in past and present societies. Has religion helped humanity or hindered its so-called progress toward---what?

Again personally, I wonder about the constant debate concerning our ultimate fates in time and space, when such has been ineffable

to "us" in our present forms. And remains so.

I also believe that homicidal maniacs need to be dealt with sternly, regardless of their motivations.

If there was/is an omnipotent creator-----c'mon sir/m'am----no better time to show up than NOW!

I think everybody thinks that. And yes their motivations often matter, but we should not project that same disturbing motivation to others that follow the same religion. I don't see how that doesn't make sense.

Uhm, God is not literally our heavenly father in the sense that he will come raise us and correct all our errors. Omnipotent is just a word, maybe we are misinterpreting its full meaning if we think he can not be omnipotent if He doesn't intervene in the physical world like a human father would. So that probably won't happen. But that you have the wish/craving for it sounds like there is some religious faith/hope left in you

 

the value of anything is predicated on interest. Any thing you use can be used for any interest. What we look we look for is overall behavior to determine interest, not necessarily what movies they watch. A persons focus in life is what they put their effort into.

 

What is omnipotent to the quality of our experience is our own determinations.
