This is a huge lighted tree at city hall...

 

I got my wife present wrapped and under the tree today when she was downtown.

We made some sugar cookies & soy milk for Santa Clause... alright between cooking for Thanksgiving and making treats for Christmas, I'm over baking..... this is the last thing I'm ever making...

I'm building these polyhedral lamps for family members for christmas.

This is the one I made for my dad:





I'm using various different fibrous Japanese semitransparent papers. This one is one of my favourites. You can't see it too well but it has these really pretty multicoloured fibres embedded in it. It's all rough, sanded plywood with nice rounded edges, warm-tone LED lightbulbs and regular polygon lampshades. This one is a dodecahedron.

There's one way to know for sure.

I don't know what that stuff is btw. My first guess was it is a special beer but it says something like 'espresso' on the label.... Matt should enlighten us!
