I find several problems with perceptions of gods in general. First consider that each and every book on this planet, was written by a human being. I see Christianity taking all kinds of hits these days. It almost seems like they have caused all of the problems on earth. Particularly with their sheer arrogance in assuming that their path to "heaven" is the only "valid" way to get there.

Jews catch grief for their faith too, but more I think for their culture. They too have an arrogant opinion of their value above all others to god. Would a god really split hairs like that? For all of their efforts they are still a very tiny segment of the global population.

Muslims seem to catch quite a bit of grief, but more from the actions they are taking today than those of centuries ago. Whenever there's a hideous attack, kidnapping or beheading in the Muslim world, someone ALWAYS pipes up with "Oh yea, well look at what Christians did during the Crusades". The idea that they somehow have a "right" to murder anyone is absolutely disgusting. Only a god should be allowed to make this decision. For anyone to take it upon themselves to kill another person, particularly out of religious malice, is pure arrogance in the face of any god. Murder is disgusting. So is revenge.


Also, by what logic does the OP assign gender to a god? What use has any supreme being with a biological function? Besides, what would we call baby gods?

There is no logic to gender, it is a self refection. Gods aren't born they are created. An ephemeral being has a use for a communication device in a world of creatures

 

The only solution I see personally is to avoid taking advantage of people at all cost. I think this is the root of human misery. Animals take advantage of each other routinely. If we are to be human, it seems like we should rise above this.

Gods on the other hand are a matter of faith largely. Most people who claim to have been touched by a god in some way are usually assumed to be crackpots. Faith has company, but people who may have had holy experiences are probably very lonely or reserved.

And I thought the baby gods idea was cute. I can see a plush doll collection on the horizon.

Well since you don't see a solution maybe you don't understand the problem.

The Idea that sin leads to death is a meaningless statement because no one who says it has experience death and don't know what death is.

The brutality of religion on the world comes from the misinterpretation of the holy texts, or whole text.
