recently ive been moving more towards christaity. in fact last week i was at a funeral for my great uncle and after we went to the church for a remeberance service for him. we were there and the priest was reading bits from the bible and it just struck me as well its hard too discribe but i just felt happy even praying i felt happy like this was right way to go like god was there . Two days after that when i was at high school i was talking the bible over with my history teacher who is a devoted christain. And i never knew about how jesus wasnt born in a stable or there are three different ends to the ressuraction of jesus. i also feel like god is there and some people will proubly think am off my head but i just feel its right. so my question is how do i become more better more devoted and convert as well ?

You become through being gracious. The measure you give is the measure you receive.

No, it would make you a better speller and be able to be understood better. What is the matter with conversing in letters?

Yeah, people here have weird answers to that like "better spelling and grammar" :\

Why don't you give it a shot Desos? if you don't like what is spoken here in the name of jesus and christianity then fix it, speak up, say your piece.

There are people speaking here in the name of jesus? I thought there weren't (not on a regular basis anyway) and that is why he advised OP to ask somewhere else where people do.

sadly because the powers that be who run this site are very anti-Christian and any honest consideration of the topic is pretty much not tolerated.

I think it is politically incorrect/correct for a reason of reputation preceding.

To transcend that perception you present in a way that is consistently opposite.

That is tolerate and transcend that fact, if in fact you have something that genuinely stands up to scrutiny.

    Welcome to the site cjfc!

Thank you for making my day brighter and funnier Orison! Gotta love that goD, or was it a doG?

Christianity is a religion. I don't like religions, as they all are used as some sort of mind, population and crowd control by the folks in charge of these groups.

However, some folks believe in a 'higher' power and I can't fault them for that. However I choose to not hang with that crowd, and when they come knocking on my door I get a bit testy... at first I feel sorry for them hauling their asses up my driveway from Hell. Then climbing the 187 steps from the drive to the castle. (BTW - My moat is empty, they say it is droughting, but rain is falling from the sky lately.) Then they ring the doorbell several times to make sure I'm not hiding from them inside, then they leave. I should post a sign, but I like seeing them get some exercise.

Why do religions always want to tell you that they are the ONLY WAY to truth and the light?

There are many ways to find the truth, and as far as going into the light, I'm not ready for that yet :)

    Happy Sunday!

I have not always welcomed them with open arms at my door neither but you really choose not to hang with certain folks because they believe in a higher power? That seems a bit extreme to me, but maybe I am misinterpreting you here!

Why do you want to report on your good cheer? Religions are organizations supported by the religious. People have all kinds of motives and no motive belongs to a religion simply being a thought system. Why does your neighbor care about how your property looks whether your yard is filled with junkers? Just to address the motive question.

Are you saying that this site and those who administer it are not very biased against Christianity or are you implying it merely seems that way to me as I take issue with what I perceive to be bias?

Seek god with all your power, that is lean to your highest and brightest thought about everything, negative impressions do not count as positive assessments, and share that with everyone.
If may take you a while to learn what your brightest thoughts are but the way people respond to you and the way you respond to them will teach you.

No I mean those who persevere to end succeed. The bias is a fact, not undeserved given the preponderance of evidence. To expose the bias you present something that appeals to their reason. A good idea appeals to the reasonable no matter what sources it may be associated with. I think you present yourself an order of difficulty that needn't exist. Don't assume bias, assume the capacity to transcend bias, the light in one mind calls on the light in another.
