Do you mean like Picasso or something? I kind of agree, but also.... it does take talent to paint or draw. Look at any famous painter or even people in art classes. It does take talent to do that, just like it probably takes some talent to write your own music, even if it's some crap that doesn't make sense.

I could never make a life-like sculpture out of bronze or rock or something.

There's a picture of a can of tomato soup in a frame in a museum. What does it MEAN?? When you analyze it real closely???

But ALSO.... some of the paintings are really skillful and I probably could never do them. Or maybe I could if I tried, who knows.

 

What I mean is that everyone has different ideas of what might be the most beautiful piece of art in the world. It might be a woman (and BTW all women were made by people, their parents) or it might be a great breakfast after a stressful night, or it might be an actual painting or sculpture. It doesn't have to make sense to be beautiful - The works of Mark Rothko or Victor Vasarely or Sol LeWitt don't all make sense, and some might say they're stupid shit. Punk songs or graffiti might be stupid shit in many cases, but they all have someone who thinks they're the most beautiful piece of art in the world.

I don't swing that way. That's what makes me not want to talk to hippies. It's cool hanging out doing drugs and stuff, but then some gay guy will try to get with you.... or even worse try to get with you while you're on drugs... that's happened to me a couple times....
