Nice Pu'erh cakes, Thep! Looks like good quality stuff, you've got a full range of leaves there. Pu'erh's one of my favourite teas, along with rooibos. Love the lavender and bee, Secret. Just how close did you get to that bee? Brave girl! It's not so much that blue is rare in plants, it's "true" blue that is. Most are purple. I had a true blue garden for a while. Dang hard to maintain, most of the plants were not conducive to our climate. I preferred my white garden, it glowed in twilight.
I think more-so in animals. Only a few birds and fish. I'm curious myself, how close Secrets face was to that bee...
But lots of blue in the sky! (usually) Poor Secret... how's your face, Sec? Jeez, what's with the Camilla Parker-Bowles pics popping up when I was googled "bee stings face"? Granted she's not the most attractive of women, but harsh!
I wasn't that close. At the time I had a macro lens so really this picture should have been much better. Plus I'm not allergic to bees or anything so a sting wouldn't have been that bad
^^^i like the 1st one i was thinking of this thread yesterday when i was taking pictures of my newborn daughter. i tried to take a close-up of her little wrinkly hands, but it didn't come out too clearly. maybe i'll post it anyway or post another one.
Here are my Pu'erh cakes. The tea is called Tuo Cha (Bird's Nest). They're tiny ones, about the size of a dime. Nowhere near as nice as Thep's ancient wild tea. Sorry, the top is out of focus.
Macro of a tree root sticking out of the ground. A bit out of focus but I thought it was kind of neat looking, the shape and various muted colours.
