i need slippers. they are always too big or too small for my feet though. my socks are slippery, and im not the most graceful person, and i dont expect that to improve any time soon.

i want a nice pair of moccasin slippers.

I always buy my house shoes too big. They are so uncomfortable if they are short.

I just realized I have a bunch of canned juice spread around my car, and that it's probably well below freezing now and will go lower tonight.

Coverall time - not having sticky everything, and not freezing my ass off preventing sticky everything.

*edit* disaster averted - car's icy (in texas) and juice started to slush up, but didn't burst.

This introduces a conundrum for tomorrow morning - I'd like to drive to class and have my car available directly from there, but I'm also afraid to start it when it's very cold, my oil is VERY thick, if I spun a bearing I'd sure regret not walking a quarter mile.

Maybe I should pick up some thin oil, it's that time of year where I have to burn some to not be scared to start the car.

I just took Grace for her first walk of the day. Big wet snowflakes coming down. We have about a half inch on the ground so far. Predictions are 3-5 inches today.

Big lots opened up here, hired a bunch of people, and then a few months later announced that they were closing all of their Canadian stores. It was weird and pretty shitty for the people who thought they had a job.

Just back from taking Grace to the park. I had to clear 4 inches of snow off the car before we could go. It was pretty quiet out there. Schools are on a 2 hour delay so no kids or busses to worry about. Grace had a grand time at the park, running and jumping around in the snow. One of her dog friends Rusty showed up and they played for a short while. It is so much fun to see the look on Grace's face when she sees the snow again and her joy. It is a wet snowball kind of snow but for dogs that means eating snow. She really loves it out there.

I grew up in Syracuse NY and we used to get "feet of snow" there. When I was a kid and even early adult I was fine with winter but the older I get the less I like it. At least I learned how to drive in snow, which it more than I can say about some of the other drivers out there.

I'm so glad Grace acted like a kid! I love to see animals rejuvenated by the weather!

I'd like to think I can, but I've never been very successful in even the pathetic amounts of snow we get here, occasionally.

I got stuck and needed a push on a 5 foot hill.
